the DCs and me had a good day at the meca state finals today got a second in m4 151.2 at the headrest could have made a second pass and bumped that up a bit but i still would have got second to another set of DCs with more power than i had. got a first place in spl drive by. there was a raffle for two RE 10s and a RE 800.2 amp won that and i won the fifty fifty. this was the ohio state finals. one other thing worth mentioning is at the meca event before this one i singed up for SQ judging and the judge is one of the best he told me that he had never heard 18s that sounded as good as my level 5s. thorshammer told me how to build the box so it wasn't all me but it says a lot about the level 5s that they sound that good and shake the hell outa the compitition.

thats what i was told too but its not true. it goes by the drivers compartment doors. i had some judges at some events this year say lowest windows but by the end of the year i got this straitened out. drivers compartment.

Had a decent day feels like I made some progress. I am cutting new hardboard for the doors and headliner to put the new vinyl on. I would like to have custom vinyl colored for me with DC audio made into the vinyl but I don’t have a hookup for the vinyl yet.

those are about half the cans i have used so far i thought that stuff went further than it does. 40 cans so far

ahhh i am in love with my fives and i am expecting to get them to show me some big numbers real soon got 2 FVLs 500.1s coming. i am just tickling them a little with the APs and getting into the fifties.

Doing a show and shine sort of build. I do mostly DB drag but want that show and shine look that the MECA boys got going. I bought 2 gallons of feather lite and a bunch of ¾” polycarbonate some clear some smoked. My plan is to have all the amps under glass in a raised floor. I have a garage full of old 3 and 4 foot neon kits that can go in the floor. The walls and ceiling will be smooth and hard using the feather lite and about 50 cans of expanding foam. And no I wont be running the neon while the amps are on. The van is a full sized econoline so I will have room for batteries. SS NW mid fifties for now with two level 5s,3 alts, 2 ap 3000.1 @1/2ohm and some batteries this amp will look nice under glass

your build logs are cool because you do good with the pics. i am tearing down the van and soon to start a different build for next season. hope i can get some good pics for ya all.

I have hammered Ohio this year over 1000 miles in DB drag a little less than that in meca and some usaci plus a couple of club events in Columbus Ohio. This weekend’s event will be another good drive 350 miles round trip.

thanks. I was told that i need to set a goal for next year some of the guys that are helping me are pretty obsessed with this game i am more laid back and see whats happens. I got one guy coaching my thats like Bobby Night hes like if your not here to win then you might as well go home.

its cool i got this well actually i have some awesome help and they got this shit down to a science. by the beginning of next season i will have brought my batteries up to 16 to 18 all in one bank. the only thing i need to find is my own termlab for testing right now i have to drive an hour to get to a buddies shop and use his.

yes 160+ on the windshield is a good sized goal for next year but i think having them DCs will help get me the DBs LOL

Just ending year one with the level 5s I will be going to regional’s in Ohio in db drag and meca. It’s all been about meeting people and learning the ropes so far. The level 5s are a hit with everyone and I have had a lot of fun. Next season will be more about putting up some numbers. I will be building a test box this winter so I can get the level 5s where they like to be. I drove over 1000 miles in DB drag alone this year and have had some problems with everything except the DCs. I did an SQ comp just for fun in meca last weekend and the judge said he had never heard 18s sound that good now that’s saying something. I am just getting consistent 150s now but by this time next year I hope to be consistently hitting 160+.

in extreme os 3+ or 5+ i am guessing that 3+ means you can use more than three and 5+ means you can have more than 5 the rules dont say what the + means. it does show how 3 subs and four subs should in set up around the center line of the car.

i know the antena wire is also a big ground so i am wondering do you have any problems not using the antena wire when using a head unit outside of the car for compitition.

looks like fun i was wondering why not stay ss 1-2 no wall but with two level 5s 18" do a curved wall and go up against ron gooding and some of the other astros with DC subs in ss 1-2. that would give you somthing to shoot for.
