  1. Pictures don't work. Would like one 12" and one 10" shipped to L1S 2K7, Ontario.
  2. That was my mistake, fixed. Thanks for your time everyone, hopefully others have learned something too
  3. God damnit are all you guys in sales? You should be! I'll just make this, since I've never made anything with this much port, and sell it. So still measure the yellow line for port length?
  4. 14-16 per cube is the norm. How did we get about this number? This is just a test box. To see what happens when there is too much port. And if I kept the lenght under 40", still just measure 40" by using the yellow line? Too expensive to order an aeroport to Canada
  5. Inverted Oh ok, still too much port. What subs? What happens when there is too much port? That's why I'm building this, just to see what happens. Two Polk MM10" Will the subs bottom out? Blow? Only play highs? I have no idea.
  6. I'm making a box just for fun, want to see what a lot of port sounds like. Before I can build it I need to know how to measure the port in the real world. Do I use the BLACK areas to measure the 50" Do I use the YELLOW area to measure the 50" Let me know if I you need anymore information to answer
  7. I just checked Audiosavings.com and the shipping is not that bad to Canada, still sucks. I'm more afraid of the tax
  8. If your voltage loss is so bad and you don't want to ruin anything...why don't you turn it down? And a good battery is always a plus. Don't buy a no name alt brand. Learned that the hard way.
  9. I still remember when you said this box was temporary, man how time flies. Oh, and no pressure!
  10. I use 3M spray glue, I spray the carpet and box, give it a minute to get super tacky, and get a brand new razor blade/exacto knife blade.
  11. Go with Sundown, they sound good, they're loud, take a lot of power, and they're cheap.
  12. Hahahaha as soon as I saw that window shake I couldn't stop laughing. Looks awesome! Still on stock alt? Building in the trunk was too annoying for me so building a wall. Seeing the 15"s do that, I can't wait for my 18"s. Love Focus builds.
  13. Home Depot, Lowe's, RONA, Princess Auto, Canadian Tire, and Home Hardware don't carry Titebond. Just Busy Bee Tools, thank god. Cheap too, going to see how it does tomorrow.
  14. Gotcha. Learning something new every day. After doing it wrong of course lol. When did the big 3 come up? If you're running a stock alt, say 90 amp, you don't need to run 0 AWG, and definitely not two runs. That's just a waste of money. As for Titebond, I looked around Home Depot, they didn't have it so tomorrow I'll have to try a different store.
  15. They're smooth as glass, just that one part by the arm rest and the light, those are the only problem areas I had. And the next ones for sure I will be adding a nut and bolt through the panel for the kitty hair to hold on to, like 2" away from the speaker ring, just in case. But I'm sure they're plenty strong for just that one mid. Those are the only pictures I have, he picked them up while the second primer coat was drying. Thanks guys.
  16. This was my first custom fiberglass customer. He didn't really care what the doors looked like, just wanted them flush and not stick out as much. And they will be wrapped, so that automatically made me relax, knowing if I couldn't fix the finish, the Suede would. Started with the flush rings, epoxied on both sides of panel. Then short strand bodyfiller on both sides, then building up with the short strand on the face, using cardboard for the the curves and clean walls, then light bodyfiller, and finally sanding. So, I was wondering, is $150 a door a good price? Is the quality there? I don't like the last picture, with the peeling of the filler by the armrest. But the customer came to pick up the doors as the primer was drying, so no time. I'm sure the suede would hide it.
  17. Damn, I did a couple searches on comparing glues, and titebond won everytime! Guess I'm switching. Thank you.
  18. They should take around 1800 each, so around 3600 and the DC 7.5k does 4400 at 2 ohms. I can't run at 1 ohm.
  19. two Fi Q 18"s and a shit load of Polk MM6501 I could only fit a Mechman 200. Big 3. 2 positive and 1 negative runs. three Kinetik 1400. And planning on getting a DC 7.5k to run at 2 ohm, and most likely there will be some rise, so I'd like to be running at 4 ohm. Titebond or Guerilla Glue?
  20. Oh for sure, the whole box will be 45's galore, but before I actually build it, need to know if mids in that area are cool. Thanks guys, looks like I can go ahead and build this thing. Err...any pointers, tips, hints for a first time wall builder?
