  1. Charge the battery up and then load test it and then charge it back up. Depending on how bad the battery is sulfated it may get hot while charging. Just take your time and run it through a few cycles.
  2. The XP950 is only "recommended" for 950 watts of power for daily use.
  3. They are getting the XP750, XP950, XP2000, and XP3000 back in stock this week and will have them up on the site as soon as they are recieved in their system. No one expected them to sell through 50 XP3000 in less than 24 hours.
  4. For competition or for daily use? For daily with any nice sized alternator you should be fine with the 6500 and 3400. For competition you could run a couple 950s, but I wouldn't think you should need a lot.
  5. If you are just looking for extra connections you can use the iBar 556 on the D6500, but as has been said the D6500 is not set up to work with side posts.
  6. Thats a group 24F battery, which is the same size as the D2400, but the terminals are reversed.
  7. hey man, can you do a load test like in his video? im pretty sure it'll only be 10minutes of you time.and it will make us all happy, you can just compare it to the d3100 if you dont have other batts It is rated for 3000 watts, So do a load of about 250-300 amps for X amount of time. Would like to see 30-60 seconds. We know its not the d3100 so no need to compare them at 500 amps. I ordered two of them and am very curious to see a test on this battery. There is less than a .5V difference on a 30 second 500 amp load between the XP3000 and D3100.
  8. More smaller batteries will produce more instantaneous power than one bigger battery. Hooking them together optimizes the internal pressure and allows the battery to discharge faster on a burp or when the bass hits. As said above there is added cost in buying more smaller batteries though. The 925 or 975 woudl work, or if you can spend a little more the group buy price on an XP2000 would be hard to beat. A lot more capacity with the XP2000 since it weighs 55lbs.

  10. If it is for daily use I would save my money and get the XP2000. If it is for competition use I would get the D3400. The D3400 is a better more powerfull battery, but if you are just using it for daily use and not in comps then you aren't going to miss anything.
  11. Brass terminal and the hardened steal wing nuts on the ring terminals. Mix in some humidity and it will happen some times. Lemon juice or coke/pepsi will eat it right off.
  12. Yes, the XP3000 does have smaller pads than the D3100. That is a limiting factor in the instantaneous power output. Like has been said many times the XP3000 has less instantaneous power than the D3100. It has even been brought up that you couldn't use the same buss bars to hook up XP3000 and D3100 together, because the terminals are different. The pads on the XP3000 is actually like the old D3100 pads, and they still have close to twice the surface area that the other battery in that video has.

  15. No it is not short circuit current, because if you short the battery out what good does it do? It is the maximum amperage the battery can produce to meet the needs of an amplifier draw or starting amperage draw.
  16. You may trying backing down the voltage to 16V. Out of stock on the harnesses.
  17. Running behind on alternator power like you are I would suggest the 2 XP3000.
  18. yeah i dont understand how they get these numbers. ive read that the d3100 is good for 5000 watt systems. but to run a 7k daily driver id need 4 d3100 and 2700 up front. We get the numbers by doing tests on the batteries. There is no reason a person would need 4 D3100 and a D2700 up front for a 7k watt daily driver. You would need at least 2 D3100 for 7k, because I am pretty sure the system would not have enough alternator power to keep up with 7k watts.
  19. You could hook it up to your truck or if you have a load tester, just load test it and then charge it up. Do that about 4-5 times. If you want you can send it in here and I will see what I can do with it. I know you would have the shipping costs doing that, but I figured I would offer.
  20. If it is sulfated the only way to try to break the sulfation up is to cycle the battery. Charge it up fully, then put a load on it. Do this cycle 4 or 5 times and see if it breaks it up enough to bring it back.
  21. Actually no a battery tender can not do as good of a job. It just is not possible. A battery tender charges in low amperage and most of the time 2amps is the highest they go and most are actually 1 or .5amps. If you are charging small batteries this can be ok, but a 2 amp or smaller charge could take weeks to fully charge a Group 31 battery that is discharged. Low amperage is good to maintain a battery, but not to recharge a battery that has been discharged. The maintainers charge at lower rates, which means they do not have the cost of internal materials that a 15 or 25amp charger has. Of course maintainers will be cheaper, because there is less cost associated with manufacturing them.
