Depending on what year yours is it will either take a D6500 or D2700. Just check to see if you have a Group 65 battery or Group 27 battery in the stock location. You will see a 65 or 27 somewhere on the battery label or part #.

Batteries sound like they are fine. You can always keep the batteries hooked up to the charger after the light goes to green. This will top them off with a good low amperage charge.

Big 3 is a good thing to do no matter what size the system is.

D3100 has more instantaneous power and the XP3000 has more capacity. D3100 can be used as a starting battery and the XP3000 shouldn't be, because the XP line is designed for supplemental power only. Competition use the D3100 will be the best option, but if it is just for added capacity then the XP3000 would work fine.

The 35 is closest to the D5100R. The terminals are reversed. You can probably fit a D3400 in there though with an Ibar kit and short extension for the power cable.

If you already have 2 4gauge wires ran now that would be fine for daily use. The battery you put in the back really is determined by how much room you have to work with. The output wire from the step down would go to anything you want stepped down. In my opinion you are going to be much better just staying with 12V or running the second alt.

Well I have some good news!!!! I can't release the details right now, but a certain site sponsor stepped up for the members of SMD and it looks as though there will be a Group Buy again this year, and this one will be the biggest yet!!! This years SEMA was much better than last year. The attendance was up and so was the # of vehicles on display.

If it were me I would put a D6500 under the hood and call it a day. It fits in the stock location and will run 2000watts easy. I have a D6500 in my truck and it runs my 20.1 like a champ.

Depending on how long it sat that low you may be able to bring it back. When a sealed battery sits below 12.6V it starts to get sulfation build up on the plates in the battery. This is like a crystallization that forms on the plates and to some extent it kills that portion of the plate. What can happen is that the sulfation builds up on the plate and actually attaches to other plates, which can cause the battery to short out a cell. Best way to see if you can bring it back is to use a AGM charger to charge it up and then put a big load on the battery to draw it back down. You will need to do this a few times (sometimes 10 or more times). This can sometimes break up the sulfation on the plates and bring the battery back to a serviceable condition. It will not be 100%, but you may be able to bring it back to work for you. As others have said if you do not want to deal with it just take it to a recycle center and get what you can from it. Or if you want you are more than welcome to send it in here and I will have the guys work on it for you and see if we can bring it back for you. It does take some time, so please keep that in mind.

No you can still send it in if you want to. The warranty card is really just something for us to fall back on if the customer doesn't still have a copy of their invoice. If they dont have the invoice, then we can pull up the warranty card and invoice copy they faxed/mailed in.

Yes, the D1200 would start it no problem.
