  1. If you are only going to be giving it 500RMS then you are going to want to build a bigger, more efficient box. I would do 3.5ft3 after displacements if you can give it 1500s or more. If you only have 500w, I would do something in the 4.5-5 ft3 range after displacements. You will also want about 17-19 in2 of port per ft3. I have also found that in 1 and 2 sub setups in SUVs that firing the sub and port back is the loudest option. I would only fire the subs up if you have 4 and cant fire them back.
  2. If you want Solo Xs buy them here......http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/4742474/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046
  3. NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO I cant say that any clearer NO For the money you spend the Solo X is not worth it. It is a GREAT SPL sub. I had 2 and they did not like 5k for daily driving. 2k max daily.
  4. Cody Johnson and yes it has the adjustable voltage.
  5. HAHA sounds like ive just got something to hang out on the shelf and hope someday it is a relic!
  6. I will get a video of it playing and getting TL numbers on it as well. Only thing with the TL is NO MORE BURPS FOR ME!!!!!!!!! I have finally realized that i since im NOT building a fucking fart car what is the point in burping it sealed with the windows up when it only plays music with the windows down? We will see what it does with 1500w to each sub tomorrow. I can say that it is moving a good bit of air for such little power and starts to choke me up a bit.
  7. Matt, How high will my 270 amp unit charge to safely?
  8. Thanks. I think I will be hanging on to these and selling the SMDs I have both listed for sale but I think I want to push these as hard as I can and see what they will do. I do know I want to get my hands on the level 5 with a 4" coil that Rusty is working on.
  9. Havent got past 1500 each yet. Breaking them in slow this time. I had to get a recone with the 1st few days of having them due to a glue joint letting go. With the SPL motor that is on these is was explained to me that they like big power but need to be brought along slow. I will be going up to 2k each in the next few days. then add about 500w to each sub each week until I get to 5k. I will most likely only use the full 10k for demos and play it at about 3500w each for daily driving.
  10. 34.5hz with 90in2 per chamber each chamber is 5.5 after displacements and 5.75 now with the subs inverted
  11. I know right! I wonder where I got them from.......Rusty you are the man!!!! That is going in my sig....absolutely hilarious!!!! I can say that I have run both AA and DC and can say with confidence that you wont get anything better for the price than DC! AA is a very quality product and Scott is a great guy but with it being a dealer only line, my local dealer is a total fucking prick so no more AA for me. I havent dealt with anyone better with customers than Rusty is. The man sat and talked to me for over an hour answering all of my random questions and explaining how thing works....how many companies can you call can get that type of customer service!!!!
  12. Here are a few pics of the subs installed. I will get some TL numbers tomorrow.
  13. Is this the sub? http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=163&idproduct=656
  14. How about we start with a basic list of questions. 1) Where do you live? 2) What model Cadenece subs do you have 3) What amp do you have to power them
  15. If you can give us all of the info that you have, im sure someone here can help you out. First, exactly what subs are they and what amp do you have. If you are just going to have a basic truck setup you will probably want to fire the subs and port back, this has sounded the best in my own car. My only other issue is I just dont like 15s in trunks. Depending on the size of the trunk, you will probably have to fire the subs up, which is going to create alot of rear deck and trunk lid rattle which sounds like pure shit. You could down fire the subs, but then you will have to find a way to secure the box in the trunk to keep it from sliding around.
  16. The subs are starting to break in and are really sounding better the more they play. i will be changing a few thing around in the truck tomorrow to try and get my back window to stop rattling and am probably going to invert the subs and see how I like that sound. I will get plenty of pics and try and get a video of it playing and post it tomorrow.
  17. The pin will still fit in the hole it just wont push all the way through. Make sure the writing side is down so you can see all of the measurements also.
  18. Not for me. Im doing some research on what would be best in my friends truck. Eventually it will be a dual 270 amp alt setup.
  19. Damn you got it first guess. I have no clue why I have it but I found the box it came in and its is from power bastards. Is there anything I can do with it? Good paper weight maybe?
  20. How many d1400s would be needed to handle 10k daily?
  21. What the hell!!!! Can someone please interpret the red words from what I guess is uneducated wanna be gangsta slang to english please.
  22. Suggestions on the topic of the original question are more than welcome! If you read though the other thread you posted people started to chime in with smartass way off topic bullshit posts, that is why I only wanted response from who the question was posed to. If you have a suggestion that might help answer my question then please post, I am always open to suggestions. I am also asking Nathan because who would know better than the guy that sells them, what will be the most cost effective option to get what I need. I mean if it were up to me I would put 4 3100s in there but that $1000+ in batteries that he just doesnt have.
  23. Those are the key words right there. He has a tight budget. I know what I would personally run but I need to know what would get me by.
