For the quantity he wants the neos are out of the price range, and for the price so are 6 level 6s. I think he is pretty set on 15s. I have the American Bass amps as an options but for 4 of them, I am looking at about $8000 maybe more. Only one alt will fit under the hood, so I am looking at upgrading to a 320amp unit. With only one alt I think 4 runs of +/- will be plenty, anymore would just be redundant.

When i tried PMs it said he isnt accepting them so I guess he has disabled them. I dont have FB too much crap. I honestly havent had time to call this week i have been busy all week and had very little time other than at night to even think about this build. I know it is a public forum but i still think if someone poses a question to a specific person that everyone else should see that and jsut leave it alone. I mean i was pretty specific in asking Jacob for pricing. All I was asking for was prices on different amounts of amps, not suggestions on what i should do with the build. There is now a thread started in the DC forum for that.

Ok, so here is the deal. I have a goal set in front of me by a customer, he wants to be playing music 158-161 aka high 50s-low 60s. This has to be done tuned no higher than 36hz. I am not interested in this doing a 160 at 50-60 hz. This is not a fart car. I want it to be able to play 35-45hz notes in the 58+ range. The vehicle is a 1996 GMC Safari Van. The plan for now is 8-12 XL 15s. The customer is fairly set on 8+ subs but is open to suggestions. I dont want any random opinion posts here. If you have an idea please post based on the following criteria. 1) What DC Subs you would use 2) How many subs you would use 3) How much clamped power you would use per sub 4) What amps you would use to get the power 5) Summary of why you would use the subs and why you would use the amps and power you chose.

How about this I will start a new thread in the DC section about the build for people to give their opinions.

I have sent an email now. My email hasnt been working for the last fews days that I have been trying to send him one and this was the best way I could think of to try. I got my email fixed about an hr after I posted this thread after 3 calls to apple tech support. People just want to jump in and give their .02 cents on a question I post that is specifically posed to one person and I just think that is bullshit. If it were a general question then it would be fair game.

He is already set on a rebuild. Those subs wont handle the powered needed to reach his goal.

I know what the posted prices are. I am just looking to see if there might be a bulk discount avaliable. Well one way or the other it is going to be loud. I am just doing what the guy wants. He has 8 American Bass 15s already that are in a terrible box that are only doing a 151.7 on a Cactus 12k elite. Given my choice I would do 4 Level 6 18s but I am just going to build what the customer wants. All I can do is present him with as many possibilities and let him choose.

Jacob, I am looking to get prices for a customer that is looking to do a huge build. I am looking at putting either 8 or 12 DC XL 15s in an astro van. I am looking at the possibilities of the following 8 2500s 4 4500s 12 2500s 6 3500s 6 4500s I am trying to get together prices for few options for him to choose from for the build. Thanks Cody

I didnt read all the replies so this most likely with both agree and disagree with the other answers, but..... Rusty told me that the XLs can handle 2-3k as long as it is clean power. If you have questions about the box just call DC and ask, they will tell you what to do. If you do plan on upgrading your amp later then I say get the XL but if you plan on keeping the same amp I would get the Level 4. You could probably give the Level 4 1500w clean power. Just my .02 cents

Matt, Do you make anything for a 1996 GMC Safari. If so what is the biggest alt you make for it?

5.5 per sub after displacements. with 12-16 sqin of port per cube. i would just do the port as big as you can fit based on those numbers

Looking for a 4-5k 1ohm stable amp. Looking for soundstream, american bass, powerbass, or anything you have that will put out this power.

Is there a price difference between a VCM for 1,2, or 3 alts? And how do they hook up to the second and 3rd alts

I already have the adjustable voltage mod from mechman. I need to fine tune it just right to 14.9, but i would like to have push button control in the cab.

Nathan, Can I buy a VCM for dual alts and only use 1 plug until I get my second alt in? I am bringing the truck up to Knoxville to Mechman to have a triple kit built next month but I would like to have better control of my dual alt until then so I dont set my charge voltage too high.

I would change the stock battery first. Then if you still have voltage drop add the second battery. I would also lose the cap.

I would like to keep it under $500 for the suspension. I still have to do brakes also. Can yall post links to packages that would do what I am looking for.

I have a 2006 F150 4x2 that I have added about an extra 1000lbs to worth of batteries, amp, subs, and box. I need to upgrade all 4 shocks and my rear springs to help handle all of the extra weight. I need some advice and recommendations on what I should do. I have no idea when it comes to this stuff so all help will be appreciated.
