The ar cone upgrade isn't offered in the 15'' version... I'm kinda mad about that right now lol. I'll be getting my 15'' reconed with the upgraded spider pack but im wanting to do that ar cone as well.. being that im running about 3k-3.5k daily on mine You'll be totally fine with that battery bank and power on those subs if you dont clip the shit outta them.

Well I think what ill end up doing now that i got to thinking on the 12s is get them and move the batteries that i have sitting on each side of my box now to a different spot. Ill build something for them like in front of the box between amps lol. I should have even more space then and it will look better i think. So i believe i will want the very strongest options and 5med 1 stiff spider pack on each sub may have to wait for the new carbon caps tho. Get like blue and green on em and that'd look sick!!!

addictive audio its a damn sick amp! Best one i've ever owned for sure. But why do you say stick with the 15?? The 10s will handle the full power of the amp. As is i have to really baby it and try to tune it in to not clip and not go over about 3k rms lol. thats not easy ;/

Im wondering if this would be the best thing to do. I have a 15'' xl and im about to send it in for recone.. I am thinking that i could have it swapped to a 10'' and maybe get a 2nd one I have an AA 500.1 to play with so I have plenty of power. Deal is I want to tune the box to 30hz on the dot for the pair. I'm thinking that 2 10's would need about as much space as 1 15'' right?? Would they still be able to get down on the lows as well or better than the 15''?? I have never owned anything smaller than a 12'' so it'd be something new for me. Let me hear so opinions here. Car is a scion tc so space is limited...

I can't tell you anything about the lvl 4's as I have 0 first hand knowledge on them... The Xl on the other hand... I have a 15'' and I didn't know about the upgraded soft parts when i ordered it. I threw 3-3.5k daily at it for about a month before the neck joint failed and its now ripped one side of the speaker leads in half... It still slams nobody believes me when i say my sub is broke it is still louder than anyone else around here and it sounds amazing... STILL lol. Oh btw im throwing about 1.8-2k on the single coil right now! DC makes an amazing product I am a life customer of theirs for sure. Best sounds louder than hell sub I've ever owned!!

Well thanks guys that clears up a bunch of the questions I had! I can make about anything work in a car but it's just different to me in the home realm lol... I will get the aux cord and see what I wanna do for a home sub as well thanks all!! This is why smd will always be the best forum for audio!

So I don't know shit about home audio.. I have a receiver ill post model number in the morning but it doesnt have a usb slot for my Ipod. It still has a phono one and aux rca inputs tho. It's kinda older maybe 10 or so years. I would like to be able to play my ipod on it. Also i wanna know how to hook up a car sub to the receiver... Do i have to have a car amp? what do i need to hook that up if so... Thanks guys again i feel like an idiot on the home audio stuff lol just seems so different to me haha..

I've been talking to Rusty He has been a huge help i just came to the idea of asking you guys who have used the setup and also know what your doing! I have an XL which the neck joint failed on it.. I was throwing about 3kish daily to it and the thing was loving ever bit of it... It flexed my car super hard and would hit down about 26hz really well. Box is tuned @ 33hz and is 3.4 cubes my 3sixty.2 is set @ 28hz filter and -5db on 25-40hz on the sub side. I'm going to be burping it with around 5k going to it... But daily wont put more than 3.5k to it. Very clean voltage doesn't drop below 12.8 full tilt. I was thinking 5 mediums 1or2 stiff spiders but I still want the lows to hit well... Just wondering if anyone has this and how it hits. Also have heard of some surround strengthening options would you recommend that? The sub is still playing i have now ripped one side of the leads in half because the neck joint failed. Its playing on 1 coil with 1.8k going to it and still is one of the loudest best sounding subs in my area DC FTW!!!

well if you aren't just looking for 12s id offer up my DC xl 15'' with carbon fiber cap. Its D2 as well.. just throwing that out there. PM me if interested in it.

I also will tell you to wait for the xls bed jade there will be no real need to upgrade subs for years... You can just upgrade power

How old is the T2? Is it the new model or is it the one with the silver dust cap??? How old is the SA 12?? I mean I would go for the SA for a little less power and better quality. But if your doing anything over 1krms I would look more into keeping the RF... If its the new version black T2 then keep that it will beat the hell outta a SA-12... A Nightshade would take it but thats a big step up lol. Btw I had the new T2's im very aware of how they perform... Seen lots of SA-12's also know how they perform...
