Build the enclosure fir the vehicle not the sub. Your car itself is part of your enclosure in a way. remember that.
-
if the enclosure is right, and no clipping, you will be just fine sir.

Ok so I know there are a lot of SMD members that are in the path of this monster of a storm. I hope everyone is safe and comes through ok both themselves and their families. My shop is located in Salisbury, MD and we are in the direct path of Irene and it's expected to be a cat 2 or 3 by the time it hits us... the thing is, we haven't had a hurricane really do anything to us in over 40 years so this is not good. They have already ordered MANDATORY evactuations for Ocean City, MD (very close to me about 20 minutes) by 5pm today NOBODY can be on the island, as well as just about every county around us, and they have even started evacuations in Salisbury... so yea. This is very new to us. I can only say that I hope everyone in the Carolinas, VA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, PA, and points northward do the right thing to protect themselves and families... forget the material things as they can be replaced, but you cannot replace your own life. BE SAFE!

Dc dealers near south eastern PA
Ric Thornton replied to Wassalla's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
here's the thing I don't get about DC... of course no disrespect is intended in what I'm getting ready to say.... how can a person with NO SHOP, NO BIZ License be an AUTHORIZED DEALER for anything? I don't get it... thats one of the MAIN reasons I never looked any further into DC Audio... EVERYONE (PERSON NOT SHOP) is a DEALER FOR DC.... -

THIS EVENT WILL HAVE CASH PRIZES ONLY!!! NO TROPHIES, JUST CASH!!!! GREENBACKS!!!! GAS MONEY!!!! also this event will debut the new SMD StreetSlam formats broken down into classes!!! SMD 8"-12" SMD 13"-18" SMD 19"-24" SMD 25"- 36" SMD 37"+ SMD Wall This format will be MUSIC ONLY for 30 seconds with an average SPL for your score. Termlab USB sensor will be placed in the passenger Kick panel with doors and windows allowed open. To start the winners in each class would receive CASH prizes (half the entry fees in the class)... I have been working with someone to sponsor trophies for this format for a few months and with no answer yet... I'm not going to hold back any longer. the standard SPL classes will still be in place with points race. Entry fees will be 10.00 if you are entered in the standard SPL classes, 20.00 if just doing StreetSlam (SS) classes. more classes may be added at a later date if needed.

PCA Series event suggestions... and poll
Ric Thornton replied to Ric Thornton's topic in Competitors Corner
Yea I talked about that too. -
OK guys/gals I have a few interesting things in the works. One I want your opinion on something... I have been doing nice trophies at the shows (24" dual post, marble base for best in class, 36" for best of show) and some people have mentioned that the trophy means NOTHING to them and they would prefer CASH... I used to do this years ago and people were happy with it... and with the economy the way it is... maybe CASH is more enticing than something that will collect dust. hahaha so... Poll on this one also... for the past two months I've been working on an idea for a MUSIC ONLY class... This would eliminate the lone "StreetSlam" portion of the shows as it would be broken down into classes. SS 8"-12" SS 13"-18" SS 19"-24" SS 25"- 36" SS 37"+ SS Wall This format will be MUSIC ONLY for 30 seconds with an average SPL for your score. Termlab USB sensor will be placed in the passenger Kick panel with doors and windows allowed open. To start the winners in each class would receive CASH prizes (half the entry fees in the class)...
