  1. I second this, it would look nice IMO. A color matched logo would look better than it not being there at all. Maby get the SS bumper cover and get a color matched SS logo, now that would be nice.
  2. Nope, thats why I asked. I didn't think the 2 were that directly related. Then again i'm not a pure SPL guy. EDIT: Lets make this a learing opportuity. Based on what the guy said, is that realtionship on the sensitivity and wattage based in free air? Wouldn't an enlosure cause that direct of a relationship to change?
  3. Read the 2nd post!! Made me laugh for a sec, your DBs are directly and solely related to you wattage!! Never heard this before, is there any truth to it?
  4. Just FYI the equasion for finding the side of a equalateral triangle based on the area is a re-work of K=a2(√3/4) Where K=area and a=side of triangle. The re-worked equasion is √((4/√3)K)=a. I say use and equalateral triangle because all you have to do is find the width of the trianle and cut 3 boards to to the width(+7/8" to compensate for the miters assuming 3/4"MDF/Ply) and length and put opposing 60 degree cuts on all 3 and put it together. Ex. Say you find your port lenth to be 18" and width from equasion to be 7" on the dot. You would cut 3 boards(3/4" assumed) to dims of 7 7/8" x 18".
  5. I think the most simple way to do this would be to do the port calculations with a sqare port. Once you have the proper dimensions of the square port, you can use that area to determine the area of a triangle you need, and you wont need to calc. the length because your going to be using the same port area as befor. Just a differnt shape.I recomend using this calculator, verry nice tool.
  6. Day turned out ok. It was just the filter, and it was bad. I feel stupid for letting it get as bad as it was. Glad it was only a $15 fix and not the $275 they wanted for the pump.
  7. 1 or 2 things. First initiall guestimate is the fuel filter. But, I can no longer hear the fuel pump running. So either the fuel filter is to the point the fuel pump can't run, or it over worked the pump and it blew. Gonna try the filter first, then if need be, order a pump.
  8. Friggin Tahoe brokedown on me on the way to work this moring. Really sucks because we carpool and it was my week to drive(obviously). In some places its not a big deal. But it is a 50 mile drive to where our mine is from town, and there is only 1 other town in between and lucky me, that is where it stoped running. Just frustrating.
  9. A quick vid of my setup. 15" JBL GTi subs. beginning is the end of 20hz tone the nest two are 10hz and 1hz. I thought it was cool.
  10. The gallon jug of resin at Home Depot is with all the adhesives and epoxys. At least it is here.
  11. Except when the car audio dream is one in which all you stuff gets jacked. Had a few of those, wake up in a mild panic!!!!
  12. Its just horrible to think that is the only "drawback" to the car. Just think, you could make the loudest 350Z out there. Screw 1, do 3 and use every bit of air space you have available!!!
  13. What I have found. First and fore most, you have to be either a competetor, or have a decent show pice. With out one or the other, your most likely not to get any. Companies are only going to invest in people who are going to advance the company name. And you cannot do that if your not a shows displaying the companies products.
  14. With most goods for for sale with a stated price, legally speaking (got this from business law class), is an invitation to negotiat. A price listed is not a directly expressed offer. Now, if you some how get them to accept you offer to purchase said item at advertised price, and it is a misprint, that turns into a different story. Even if they blindly accept, not knowing there was an error in listing, your most likely not going to get it. They will play the legal card and threat a legal fight at which point most smart people will walk away.
  15. Thats quite the drive. my wife and I drove from Casper to San Fran. a couple years ago. There is nothing between the Nevada line and Salt Lake. So your best bet is to shoot for Salt Lake. Like a 12 hour drive or something around there. Your next best option would be Elko or Wendover. And if your looking for shorter legs to your trip, you might want to look for a place around Cheyenne or Sydney, thats assuming your going to Lincon (based on your topic for a few days ago).
  16. To be fairly honest, appearence is important to alot of people. And Welding cable is not that great to look at. Plus, at $3 a ft., you could spend another 40 cents at Knu and get the 1/0 Flex cable that will do 375amps at 20' (which is more in scope, I don't see 100' foot runs beeing used in a vehicle.)
  17. Its all about current draw. If you are running less than 20' and you amp max draw is less than 250 amps, CCA will work. But, if you are planning on adding other amps, or doing an amp that has an amp draw of near 250 amps, just go straight for the OFC. Im running 2 1200w RMS amps with a combined max amp draw of 225amps. So CCA was not an issue for me for the time being. Going to be quite a while before I will be able to do 4chan amps for the fronts.
  18. It can't carry as much current as pure OFC copper wire can. Other than that, not much of a draw back. Generally, 1/0 CCA is good for 200-250amps of current up to 20 feet. I just ordered 30 feet of the new KCA cable late last week and looking forward to getting it.
  19. Your talking 6 grand for the rifle and the optics, "wasted money" is out the window. But yes, very well built firearms. Will not be dissapointed one bit.
