  1. i own a TPI scope plus 440 and electrical will consist of Dual 300 amp iraggi alts with VCM two XS D3400 and 2 D3100 (might add two more) and probally 8 runs of 1/0 (4+/4-)
  2. But tests have shown that XLs get louder when theyre on lower power (I think it was up to 3500wrms). Idk whether or not the power was clamped. I'd assume so i saw something about this too but idk if i do this setup each XL would be on a AQ2200D or the pair starpped at 1 ohm so 2200wrms to each sub before rise and voltage drop (if i have any )
  3. if i got the LVL 5s i would want to feed them alot more
  4. yeaa ive really been thinking about the XLs as i dont have the power for the LVL 5s
  5. im thiking about it hah id have to sell my L7s ive wanted so DC subs for a longgg time nobody around my town even knows of DC and everyone runs kicker so i wanna switch it up
  6. Any Opinions on two XL 18"s powered by two AQ2200Ds? im reallllyy getting tired of my 4 L7 15s and have been wanting to get some DC subs for my burban i already have one AQ2200D and would probally run them strapped at 1 ohm any suggestions/opinions?
  7. ive mixed a yellow top with an XS power batt not for long cause i was upgrading to all XS but i had no problem both bstts stil hold a charge and the yellow top is now in my buddys truck the batts will be fine but if your gunna run XS i would eventually get another XS batt to match eventually
  8. i have HIDs in the stock housings of my burban and my tahoe i had projectors but i didnt like em
  9. With the upgraded alt you are planning on getting and a D3400 under the hood and a D3100 in the tuck you will be fine running 4k
  10. I think the D3400s would fit better under the hood I have two under the hood of my 97 burban
  11. Ive heard the componets on an AQ4.90 and they sounded good midbass was alright Heard an AQ HDC3 18" on an AQ2200D (witch I now own) it banged pretty good The amp is a little beast and I love it
  12. we need max dimensions if you want anyone to design you a box but yea wayyyyyy to little port area post up some max dimensions
  13. Ok.. this brings another question that I need help with asap. The amp (ovn1-5500d) Power acoustik 5500 watt gothic series, etc. Pos Pos Neg Neg It doesnt say its bridgable.. so can i still hook it up.. Left pos / Right neg and leave the other pos and neg in the middle alone. Help me out here.. was hookin it up today.. and realized it didnt say bridged like the other amps ive had so.. HELP please and thanks. yes that is fine its internally bridged for ease of wiring you will be fine hooking it up like you said For real? ok sweet, thanks so much.. that halted my work.. but i need a bit to predrill some holes in the box i made for my subs.. I got everything all hooked up just need a damn bit now lol and that question.. Actually.. I got another question. does the wire fully matter for now. I got 8g wire for the subs.. and i ran out of wire to actually run from the amp to the sub terminals. Does it matter if the wires thick.. its 8g but it has like 8 strands.. instead of like 100 little strands.. will that make a difference? plan on buyin some more in the future.. just ran out and keep getting kicked in the ass. as long as its 8 gauge its fine if you wanna order some 8 gauge this is what i use for wiring my subs and its not that expensive http://darvex.com/store/pc/Stinger-HPM-Series-8-Gauge-Blue-Power-Ground-Wire-54p649.htm Thanks but heh.. just weird.. theres like 8 wires in 1 tube instead of the 100s of strands.. But anyways im just gonna order some more just not this second. and.. now my power and ground wires 8g also.. from last system.. should i 1/0g that shit out.. plan on it for the future cuz i have my subs in the back facin towards me and.. i wanna put my amp on the back of my box but the damn wires wont reach.. so i need the new wire anyways with a few extra feet. and do u need 1/0 for the big 3 upgrade? that amp uses 1/0 for power and ground so using 8 gauge for that amp is starving it so yes i would get a 1/0 amp wiring kit for it and if your going to do the big three then use 1/0 so you dont have to go and redo it do it right the first time around ok thanks.. so 1/0 power and ground.. and use the same rca cables? And my amp says its 1 ohm stable.. does that matter anything? yup 1/0 power and ground same rcas will be fine and that just means your amp is stable down to a 1 ohm load but with your subs you will be wiring to two ohms 1 ohm stable means that is the lowest ohm load you can wire the amp to and it still be stable heres some 1/0 amp kits http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KCA-PK0 http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX-PK0

  17. X2 If you wanna run two batts the put the kinetic in the back and do the big three But like TeamHT said I would go for a XS power batts
  18. not enough space 4 15" So you have a large van and not enough room to do 4 15s subs up port back?? the middle seat is out from the van for my wheelchair and the back seat is for the kids So you wanna do 4 15s behind the third row? How much air space can you get back there? If you can't do subs up port back Then do subs up port up like someone else already said
  19. not enough space 4 15" So you have a large van and not enough room to do 4 15s subs up port back??
  20. would that be putting too much stress on my alt? with only running 1800-2000RMS you will be fine with the biggest XS power batt you can fit in the stock location under the hood and do the big 3
