NEW MECHMAN 370 AMP SMD ALTERNATOR LOAD TEST...
Miakehl replied to MECHMAN's topic in MechMan Alternators and 12v Accessories
Too bad no one makes anything like this for the 95-99 4g63t motors. I don't even think mechman makes an HO alt for my car..... -

I keep my PC in the bedroom of my new apartment and I've noticed that the temp in the room is a good 10 to 15 degrees hotter than the rest of the place. Is there any way that I can somehow keep the computer from pumping out so much heat and heating the room? *Note: The computer runs 24/7 as it's my HTPC and while I know that's probably why it's so hot in here, I'd like to be able to keep it running because I've never had this problem anywhere I've lived before.

Need some help picking a car

I was thing more new bodystyle firebird myself even if they are identical cars. And the late f bodys have a sick twin turbo system from APS that puts a stock engine to over 500 rwhp. Problem is you can't finance an f body at a legit finance company, they're too old. I could find a 05-06 Mustang gt w/ 5spd for >15k but..... -

Yeah it'll be a daily driver. If I got an F body I'd eliminate the backseat anyway. My best friend has a base model Firebird -
I think most all of you are missing the point. (Note: The 60GB is the only Real PS3, all others are crap, compared. Also I called to double check these numbers with the friends mentioned.) I've had my PS3 since release and never have I had a single overheating, freezing, or any other problem. I also personally know of two other units that were launch console owned by friends that have been just as reliable. I also know more than 10 Xbox 360 units within my small group of friends, 4 that I witnessed the purchase of. Of all these consoles, EVERY ONE had critical RROD board failures within the first 3 months resulting in Warranty replacement, 3 of those also RROD and were returned to GameStop and traded for PS3s. The Xbox is a gaming console. The PS3 is a self contained home entertainment center that can play games. The 60GB PS3 can function as a Win/Linux computer, Can browse the interwebs, Play BluRay dvds, and has %100 backwards compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games, the PSN is free, has it's own online Second Life like community, and has built in wifi and 4 USB ports and fancy chrome trim. Newer models have all this except backwards compatibility, wifi, 4 usbports, cool trim, and the ability to install another OS. The Xbox 360 has a LARGER (not better) selection of games, cheaper price, and larger community. They each have their pros and cons but I'm sick and tired of fanboys ranting and raving about how the Xbox is better because it's cheaper and has more games. Hardware speaking, the PS3 is the best, hands down. It's hardware it's mopping the floor with current gen technologies and hasn't even broken a sweat yet. It's perfectly poised for the next gen bleeding edge software and hardware advancements by being so drastically over built. The Xbox 360 will melt and bend it's mobo ending in RROD if you play it too hard. Yeah. Real hard choice.

This is actually happening to me right now. The stock one went bad and now it's throwing codes on the new one, same thing, clicks but computer says it's loose. I don't think I bassed it to death but my car does shake like hell. I'm just going to ignore it until I can get one from the stealership. -

Is it bulletproof? O.o -
SO anyway, my mother calls subs flowerpots because to her they all look like pots you plant flowers in. So I got an idea, why not find a blown woofer and turn it into a flower pot for Mother's Day. What I figure is, I'll de-cone it, make a pot out of fiberglass inside the basket and paint the outside while drilling drain holes for excess water to escape. Now to find a blown 12 or 15 inch woofer on the cheap because I'm on a broke Broadband Tech's budget. Anyone feeling generous? =]

So I think I'm going the fiberglass route on my next box to try to get as much of the 4.36 cu ft I need out of the smallest possible space in my trunk while facing the subs/port forward sealed from the trunk. I have good experience with the stuff but never anything like a subwoofer box. I'm looking for tips and tricks for box building. Like chop mat vs weave mat... Prep and finishing, making the box stronger, etc. Im planning on using some of my scrap from previous builds to add reinforcement pieces in and around it. Whats a good way to guesstimate the cu ft of a very irregular box? Im guessing it's still cool to do a slot port instead of aeroports? I really don't like the way they look. I don't think they'll flow with my idea. All my other projects have been all wood and I really want to try something new. Thx

I saw some Vegas. Properly powered those thing can be beasts. Built a braincrushing groundpounder using 4 of those 15s a few years ago. Good times.
