While everything else you have said is perfectly accurate, I disagree with this power thing. Subs should be run at their rated rms or a little higher so full movement is achieved and the sub can cool itself down. I suggest buying an amo that's as close as possible to the subs rms, a tad higher (100-200 watts) is better than being a tad lower.

How long was it disconnected? I had mine off for about 3 hours and no problems besides having to reset my windows and locks (only a G37 thing)

2 dc level 4's instead of the kicker comps and it'll sound much better. The new brutus line of amps look very promising and budget friendly, maybe try one of those.

Alright so after reading the sticky I've learned how to set the gains properly. But I have a couple of questions: -What do I set the Low Pass Filter and sub sonic filter to? -How would I burn the 50hz tone to a cd that repeats automatically because my HU doesn't have that option.....

Just throwing this out there, powder coating those rims black would enrich the color more IMO.

DC Level 4 XL's are great, you can run them up past 6k watts if you wanted to later on down the road.

Yep an LOC would be the best, I suggest a Scosche I have heard no complaints about it and it's fairly cheap ($15 or so on eBay)
