  1. I was a few minutes ago at the Mechman website... ...but i found no information at all? Just some html tabs and a phonenumber. I can imagine people from the states simply call that number but since i'm from The Netherlands (Europe) i hoped to find some more information by reading this site. Why? I have some European costumers that like to modify their powersource for more voltage. It seems there is no European business that will modify alternators above 15V...? So, if someone from the Mechman company can contact me, i would be very happy
  2. i fixed it man. No you didn't. (is it so hard to read the first post in that thread?)
  3. That "other" website looks much better then this one, simply because there isn't (yet) that much advertising like here. My computer doesn't like it to load all these commercial pictures every time. (still i have the fastest connection availeble) Besides that, all these adverts look very cheap and irritating because you have to scroll down before the real interesting stuff begins (the SMD website). Hopefully the "other" website stays as clean as it is right now. p.s. I have signed in!
  4. I can only see two pics of the box? Where is the proof?
  5. That's what i meant (sorry for my bad english but i live in The Netherlands) So you only tested the air flowing in ONE direction? I think it would be better to fill the box with smoke (while all woofers are mounted and connected). When the smoke is coming out of the port, put on the install and turn up the volume. Since the air stays in the port (going in and out as much as the x-max of your woofers) You should clearly see the smoke/air in the port and should NOT twirl around the port by turbulence. I hope you understand my explaination...
  6. "turbulence test"? The only "test" i can imagine is to see if your port flare is big enough. Do you also have some footage from the test aswell? I noticed you missed one (or more) subs in yor wall during this test? Or is that an optical illusion?
  7. "It is just from a fog machine test, not from blowing any subs or anything like that"
  8. Remember, the fuses are ONLY to secure the CABLE. With batteries at both sides you need to secure the cable at both sides!

  11. Underpower means clipping and that causes the death of your subs. So, please think about this when you use the word 'cheap' because it isn't
  12. I see two reasons why this doesn't work" 1st) Switch + and - at one woofer, so the subs play in phase. 2nd) Dump the Fusion amp because that's the biggest crap on earth.
  13. Thanx Maxim Looks like i was wrong.... this is the bible for you! (now scroll back and read the first sentince in my first reply)
  14. This could be helpfull for complete noobs, but..... This aint the bible! For example: Step 6 and 7 Sometimes it is even recommended to use different polarity! English isn't my own language so it is hard for me to explain. But please believe me; There is much more @ SQ
  15. Several months ago I was installing my subwoofer and my friend was helping me. But since that day i haven't seen him? I can't figure out where he is? Anyhow, the subwoofer is doing well. (it hits 148+ on music, dispite the fact it is playing in a closed trunk area) But, the first weeks i heard a strange sound, like someone was screaming from the inside of the sub box? The weird sound is over... so now i can continue for the search of my friend. Can you help me? Here is some footage of my friend while he was helping me with the woofer: I wonder where he is now....
  16. About STEG: These are super amplifiers with loads of power. Yes, they only go 2 Ohm but they have power enough because they stay steady @ 10V. Most amps will burn their end-stages at those voltage, but these keep on going. But.... there is a small problem! STEG didn't made it trough the 'financial crisis' and doesn't excist any more Their engineers work now for AUDIO-SYSTEM and MOSCONI
  17. Hahahahahahaaaaa, i have your attention now don't i Did you know that the small country Holland (Europe) can do extreme builds with extreme scores? And remember, we don't have such big cars here so we have to fit everything in a tidy space (but we do have Amsterdam, tullips, windmills and wooden shoes) Please watch this video: And please leave a comment! (here and/or at YouTube)
  18. Where is the problem? I fitted this box into my trunk: You see the tiny entrance to the trunk? Just build it together INSIDE the trunk Be inventive.... then you can acomplish this: Good luck
  19. Hey there! You have maybe noticed some installations that i have posted on this forum. But, what else are we doing in my little audio "bunker"? (besides drinking beer, building demo cars, drinking beer, building competition installations and drinking beer...) Well... just watch these video's and you'll find out :01nocomment8so: Yes, that is the subwoofer enclosure that went into my daily Let's see... what do we have here? Some spair components ! What can we do with a basket.... a conus... and a dustcap? And a bit of help from 'the hand of GOD Yes, there is many more on my channel.... It is all in Dutch language (NOT GERMAN!) but i think you you'll understand our jokes Greetz from "General", proud Leader of the Bunker-Crew, also known as "FoekieJoekie" master of the "Bunker on Tour"
