Well, if you go with the Type R´s option and want to use that same box on the future for better subs, i would go with 4 - 4.4 cubic feet and a pair of 6" aeroports, that should be loud!!! 5-6 cubic feet it´s a giant box that could slam on some BTL´s , DD 9512 or something like that, but that size for "cheap" i think they will bottom out!! And yes, i think those Pyles could play nice on a big box, try 6-7 feet for them, even more if you want, you never know, maybe they´ll pound hard haha. Well, port area it´s kind of tricky, there are subs that don´t like big ports and viceverse, big ass port doesn´t help you a lot with small power, also depends on the car, my Swift HATE big ports, depends on a lot of factors, best thing for you is to start trying some things on your car, maybe you could fine some guys on termpro forum wich used a car like yours and can give you some tips about what to do and don´t. Yeah dude, Almani is cheap but it´s great! i have a 1100.2 on my sexplorer and a 800.4 on the swift, they are loud, sound very nice and they are cheap as hell!! If you use 4 tweeters 4 ohms on the almani amplifier, you wire it stereo 4 ohms giving them 75 watts to each one, then, you add 4 more tweeters and use 2 tweeters per channel, you wire the amplifier to 2 ohms , his means you have 8 tweeters on a single amplifier, that´s what i mean thinking on the future That alternator is EXPENSIVE as hell, dunno about that brand, check mechman alternator, they have a room on this forum, they´re supposed to be the best alternators around here and way cheaper than that one !!! Why 6x9??? they suck ass!! haha, try to get some mids as i told you that fit on the OEM hole, they are louder and sound better, if not, try at least to get some nice component kits,but 6x9 are overated

Not bad grits, just a quick comment, you hit that number on a sweep? burp? i´m asking because you hit that on a very HIGH frequency, very far from the car´s resonant frequency, i guess that box sounds kind of punchy right? you like rock, trance,techno and that kind of music? if you do then it´s more than fine, if you prefer something lower, try to tune the box lower or something, it would get better on lower frequencies and your score should raise Nice vid once again, cheers!!

I strongly suggest you to forget about the curves on the programs, if they were real, the people that build for SPL competitions wouldn´t even test anything, they change the moment you get the box in the car, 7 cubic feet for 2 12´s it´s huge!!! Maybe it could work very nice, but for those subs i wouldn´t even try that internal space, the sweet thing is that you can try and learn for yourself bro, that´s fun IMO!! For the 15´s , i think that´s a very good box, sounds great , i think you could even build bigger with that small power...

hahaha thanks man, i wish!!! but no, i don´t think i can get anything loud, for example, i thought the sexplorer ruled!!! hehe, when i started watching topics about explorer´s on termpro, i wanted to kick myself on the ass, those guys are wayyyy louder with smaller equipments Anyways, i did hit 146 with 3 kenwood 10´s 40$ subs and a powerbass 1500.

9 cubic feet???? holy shit!ahaha, in my case, for daily i love the sound of the 10´s on 1.7 per sub, depends on the sub also, i don´t think you can´t get a 9 cubic feet box for 2 kenwood 10´s hehe, what subs were on that box? best i hit wth my daily system on the swift, 148.1 dbs with 3 dd´s 1510 and 4000 watts on 2 batteries, loved that system!!

I forgot to mention something very important, amount of power come in hand with box size: Small power - big box Huge power - Small box A small box gets you a better cone control and power handling when you have a big amplifier, if you have a small power you need to get the box bigger to compesate the lack of a big ass amplifier...

1) Well, designing a box it´s kind of tricky, you depend on the power, car, subs, porpouse, music likes and stuff like that. 2) Best frequency? depends on the kind of music you like the most, on the US people tune boxes between 35-38 hz most of the times imo, that´s because the music you guys like the most has some nice 35-45 hz frequencies, in my case, i always tune around 42 hz, because on latin america we listen more "punchy" music, techno,merengue,salsa,reggeton and stuff like that. 3)Common chamber it´s much easier and i think has better results (at least on my experience) than sepearte chamber, if there´s two subs on a single box, you have to get a proper internal space, port area, alignement, etc etc. About your lost time on forums, well, sometimes people find boring explaining the good stuff to new people on this car audio world, myself, i try my best to help, when i started around 1997 i had to lost A LOT of money learning because forums didn´t exist, so now you cna take advantage of that; When you read those "X" , they mean for example 2 cubic feet @ 35 hz, tuning depends on the kind of music you like, the size of the box depends on a lot of factors i mentioned to you a few line ago, but to give you an idea, i use something like this: 10" sub: 1.5 cubic feet for daily, 20SQ of port if i have small power and 24SQ of port if i have a nice power 12" sub: 2 cubic feet for daily, 26SQ of port if i have small power and 32SQ of port if i have a nice power 15" sub: 3-4.5 cubic feet for daily, same story. 18" sub: 5-7 cubic feet for daily, same story. If you like rock, techno, latin music and some nice hip hop i would tune around 42 hz, if you like the lows i tune around 35 hz, box size also come together with music likes, if you want to hit the lows a small box doesn´t work that nice, you need a big box with a low tuning, if you want to pound hard the punchy music, you get a regular size box with a higher tuning. Tell me what kind of music you like, the sub your are using, the car, the amplifier, the porpouse of this box, and i´ll give you a much better example, let´s help you fish my friend!!!

Ebay my friend, you can look around on audiosaving, caco and stuff like that, but ebay never misses!!! Yeah, that coustic amp has some nice specs, a friend of mine used that brand and worked very nice, all the recommendations i did it´s to have a LOUD "small" system now, and you can upgrade later, for example, you can use the coustic on 4 smalls tweeters, later, you can add 4 more if you want to get crazy and wire it @ 2 ohms, same thing with the almani amp!! I upgraded my swift to a big ass system and i didn´t spend any money on mids/highs amplifiers, just added 4 more mids and highs exactly like the ones i had before and i was all set Anyways, yes, ebay it´s a great option, also, you can find a LOT of things cheap here, just look for the sellers reviews on the forum and you can know who you can buy from very easyly, i really like a system like i recommended you, you´ll be amazed how loud you can get with less than 1500$ , i envy you guys, here everything it´s expensive as hell!!!

hehe thanks man, maybe someone could make a better input than me, but after big3,wires, kinetik battery it would be a 1400$ system at the most, and that thing should play loud and nice, i built a car about 2 months ago with something similar, he was hitting 144 dbs on the TL without any problems and getting low as hell!
