  1. With a stock alternator i always try to use something close or better than 1 amper per watt, i would try to get something like a Kinetik HC1200 or 1400, even bigger if you want to upgrade your system in the future as i know you will want to
  2. I´ve done them even with 3 10´s , just not as big as 2 18´s hairtrick that i do right now, yeah there are tons of variables, but if you have the space for a proper box, then the bigger the cone area the easier would be to get a hairtrick
  3. Yeah, it does matter! and yes, 2 6´s should be more than enough for you, with or without flaring it, you ain´t getting any port noise
  4. How can we know if you are getting port noise if we don´t know internal space or even subs xmax?
  5. We don´t even know what´s the box size or what subs, even what power you are using, so yes, it´s kind of dificult having an opinion about port area, but YES you can flare the PVC ports if that helps you
  6. And you can always flare PVC, here´s a vid of my channel, they work awesome, you can see my avatar´s pic and confirm it hehehe.
  7. Even with those two batts and the new alt i still won´t wire them that low, voltage is gonna drop anyways, only way you can use them under 1 ohm it´s having a very steady voltage, i wouldn´t wire them below 0.7 ohms each (if you can have that config) with the kind of voltage you´ll have.
  8. I did it with 6" tubes, 4 of them, i wanted to get bigger flares but couldn´t do it because they won´t fit, box is too thin, anyways, 3" should be pretty easy, here´s a vid i recorded doing them.
  9. HAHAHAHAHA, i loughed WAY loud with that comment!!!
  10. Dude, there´s someone on the Sales room with 3 alternators, 2 iraggi´s and one mechman, i don´t remember wich one exacty but i know he´s selling a 180 amps alternator for Celica brand new, go check there...
  11. Damn, that´s one big ass box man, i wanna try a T-line with a single 1508, nice vid!!
  12. how the hell do you get that many? hahaha i only have about 80 hehe, but it´s ok, i don´t really care, congrats and good luck reaching the 3K now
  13. why rebuilding? what are you gonna do SOTM?? i love this car!
  14. We are gonna kick your ass if you go sealed hahaha, once again, depends on your available space!
  15. you don´t need to remove the back seats for 6 10" pioneer or a single BL 18"
  16. Still a piece of junk cheap pioneer sub, i prefer the 6 10´s option, way better for daily abuse cause they disipate heat way better
  17. I actually thought it was a BTL , my reading skills suck hehe, i would go with the pioneers
  18. Well, you have the space for both boxes?? i don´t know much about durangos, but i do know a little bit about those 10" pioneer subs, i built a friend´s scion XB a few months ago, a piece of junk hifonics hfi2500D amp with a 140 amps alternator and single kinetik HC1800 battery on the front, he wanted to play as loud as he could with that amount of power and didn´t care about numbers that much, i ended up building 2 subs front/2subs up with port side box, 6 cubic feet after displacement and 84SQ of port, let me tell you, that shit sounds AWESOME!!!! It´s loud as hell, plays very nice on every song we play, and best of all, scores 146.7 dbs sealed on the dash without any flares, 45´s , resin or anything, i know i it has at least another db on it if i get some more work done, but yes i really love how it plays, funniest thing is that he has 200$ on subs and beats a lot of guys with much more money on subs. I can´t say 6 subs of those are gonna be louder than a single 18" BTL, i honestly think a BTL would murder them, but damn, they are way cheaper and Also, wow factor FTW hehe.
  19. Thanks a lot man, you are very kind, i´ll get you the pics when we start working on it, he´s a member on this forum but doesn´t speak any english hehe
  20. yeah man, this is not for my explorer, it´s for my friend´s nissan almera, i measured everything and he does have the space for a very nice 4th order, but is not gonna be any easy working on this car.
  21. nice input as always man, well i have many options actually, it´s gonna be two ports also so that would make everything easier for testing too, ok i´ll start around 16 or 17 SQ per cubic feet and shrink it from there, also, i always wanted to know about 6th orders port areas, so you helped a lot hehe, cheers!!
  22. Hey D, that small hommie? my 2512´s seems to love 17 SQ of port per cubic feet, that´s why i was thinking on building bigger for the 2515´s BP and start shrinking, why so small? you had better luck with smaller port area on your 4th order?
