  1. Its a solid amp and more than I would normally recommend, but set up is all important. Getting things dialed in right (and not by just ear as even 10% distortion with subs is not often detected) will massively aid in the subs life expectancy. Thanks, Scott
  2. Lol... well all didnt go well and we only shipped 3 of them out to 2 customers. Far from the production we wanted to do today. Simply having issues with the molds and not getting clean parts out for the plastic spacers and fin cover. Working through the night to try and solve the problem so we can get ramped up. We had wanted to get all the back orders filled before Thanksgiving, but unless I can get things sorted no later than 10am and start making plastic quick, we will have to ship some of the balance next week... sorry guys Thanks, Scott
  3. Need to seal the rear "chamber" off as best you can from the cabin. Anything that gets around will decrease output. My wife ran an IB system with a pair of 15s for a few years. I loved it. Really detailed bass... effortless. My wife loved having bass that didnt take up the trunk. While it didnt hammer like it was in a ported, or even a sealed enclosure... it did sound amazing. BKOLFO is on this forum from time to time and he just put 8 of the IB318s in his house. This was a VERY custom build on a new house for these subs. He has never had the visceral ability that he has now, and this is coming from an old school basshead that was running walled 18s long before most. Thanks, Scott
  4. Definitely wont fit. But as others mentioned 8 awg realistically is a max ever needed... and for shorter runs smaller wire is plenty. Burn the midnight oil trying to get the molds for the plastic spacers and fin cover sorted. With only getting enough "good" pieces to fill 3 orders, it was far from productive today. Nothing but issues with those last couple of days with them and I would have sworn that the downed CNCs would have been the bottle neck... couldnt have been more wrong. lol Thanks, Scott
  5. Becomes an issue very quick... more port equals longer length for the same tuning and volume... more port volume reduces available box volume and increases tuning... so you make it longer to compensate which decreases volume and increases tuning... wait???!?!?! Not the right direction. What you might want to do is put heavy radiuses on the inner and outer edges of the ports to aid in flow and reduce noise and compression. Takes up no space and does help. Shrinking box down further is bad... looses efficiency and output near tuning (if tuned low) which is counter productive as well. Heck Steve has like 120sq for all 4 18s in his system... WAY too small, but loads and works proper. With 60sqin on yours and a healthy radius on the openings, it should help. Thanks, Scott
  6. If all goes well with the mold making we should be shipping N2s on Monday. We had issues with the first cavity we made in pulling parts from it. Not quite enough draft angle and things were sticking hard. We are reworking the code and making a new mold this week and hope to have it polished and pulling parts Monday to start building from. N3 will be up sometime next week. Need to make sure N2s are moving out first. Thanks, Scott
  7. By far close enough. While TS params are a little different, the boxes used for them are very close. Really the boxes used for all 12" Fi drivers are interchangeable. A 12" BTL in 2.1 cuft tuned to 36 would work... for a Q or a BL as well. Just that its not as SQ oriented for the Q as tending towards the lower side of our recommendations and would have a little more punch with a BL or BTL. Should do fine for an X12. Thanks, Scott
  8. That's an SSD with a flat wind coil...and whoever reconed it had absolutely no idea how to do the tinsel leads through the blocks. Look at the picture below..that is how they are supposed to look...not straggled everywhere. You can order recones off of the website, you can also select 'send in sub' to send it in for us to do for you. The only difference in price is the shipping back to you. -Nick
  9. I know a guy that knows a guy that can get more of those subs Dont worry about them for the show. We simply need you to give them hell so we know how certain things hold up compared to testing we have already done.
  10. philip... We dont have anything in stock/prebuilt. Each sub is machined per coil choice or other options selected at the time the order is placed. Normally 3 days for SSDs and Qs and 5 business days for BLs and BTLs. We work M-F 9-5... It doesnt look like I received and email from you, so if you can please resend it to [email protected] we can set up a convenient time to meet. Thanks, Scott
  11. You just cemented your self as the king of bass with that video. Seriously... I dont even know where to begin with that one. Her eye fell out of her damn head. You win.
