On the new units(410-A) the unit usually has a charging chart on the inside of the panel that holds the contactor, capacitor, low voltage wires, etc. The desired charge fluctuates from the tonnage of the unit and what the temperature is at the time you are charging the unit. Most of the time around 135-150 on the suction side will be right. Some units have a chart where it tells you what the liquid line should read, but most of the time the unit will give you a desired suction pressure. To prevent yourself from having to put extra freon in the unit after start-up... 1. Let your vacuum pump pull down anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the line(usually 3/4" or 7/8") and the length of the run from condenser to coil. 2. The vacuum is USUALLY done when you begin to hear a hammering down sort of sound. 3. Make sure your gauges are calibrated. The hand on the gauge should pull down to 30 inches and after you stop the vacuum and close both sides of the gauges, it should not go below 29 inches. If it does you have a leak. 4. Before starting up the unit fill the unit with the freon(410-A) with the drum upside down and through the high/liquid line. I usually fill it up until the suction pressure reaches 75-85. That way once you start up the unit your pressure should reach it's desired point(Again usually around 135-150 suction pressure). Also when pulling a vacuum make sure the stems are in for an accurate reading. And always pull the stems out before welding. You might have to learn the hard way. On R-22 units I try to get the suction pressure to 75-80 and keep the liquid line below 300, I prefer 260ish.

Battery Suggestions
memphisBred replied to 8000watts's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
What's your budget? XS Power D1200 would work great for 1100 wrms. -
Trust me if it costs 500$ I won't bother. If it's 200 or so I will think about it. It's not critical or anything. Just like the unit and would like to use it if I can.

The screen is broken on this unit. Kicked in by a kid in my uncle's neighborhood. It was given to me since my uncle got a new one. I believe I asked about this earlier and was told to contact Pioneer.I tried calling Pioneer a few times never really got my questions answered. Does anyone have experience with this unit, know how to replace the screen, or know around how much this would cost to fix it. A local shop owner said it could be anywhere from 2-500 dollars. If any one knows how to fix it, I would be happy to send it in for repair.

I love the Sundown Amps. I'd say the Sundown or Rockford. Also, I think the Cadence had some good reviews by a few members on here.(PunkYou?) Maybe he will chime in. What batteries do you plan on using?

Velleman HPS10. I liked it, only took about 5 or 10 minutes to set all the gains and see where I was clipping. Very handy. Actually found out were going the 20th and 21st. I think that's Fri and Sat. If you can wait that long I will definitely bring it. If you don't need it then, I think I'll come for the hell of it, if that's alright. Also got pulled over twice in a week for decals "blocking my vision". Just a fix it ticket, though. Had to take them off. Might have to buy a few more.

Thorshammer edition subs
memphisBred replied to DylanH's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Think he's referring to the videos of the jeep, where Thor refers to them as Thor edition subs. -
I think it would be all around better to have the port centered up in the middle of the box. Use the bottom of the box as the bottom of the port, two sides that measure the same, and a top piece.

Are any of your power wires touching or close to the RCA's? When I hooked up my Sundown 125.2 to test my AA mids, I got a ground noise coming through my mids. Checked all the wires and noticed my Knu power wire was in direct contact with RCA's. Ever since i cleaned up and straightened my wiring, everything has been all good.

Where and what type of dampener do you have in your car? I noticed putting my sun visors forward gave me an extra .2 and moving the passenger seat all the way forward gave me roughly .1/.2 dB. Try positioning things differently, different box configurations, etc. I think it will really help if you stiffen up your roof and door panels with dampener. If you haven't already.

I have had my AQ 2200 playing for about a week now. I love it. Never gets hot unless I leave my all black SUV baking in the sun. But have not seen it get hot after playing music for a good while. Voltage rests at about 14.1 at idle and usually around 14.3. I would also look into used SAZ-2000d's or MAYBE a SAZ-4500d.

Songs a little higher than normal...
memphisBred replied to Joshslvl4xl's topic in Tunez - All things music related
Play My Game-Dorrough...Decaf's version. It's 45 Hz @ 26 dB. If your tuned at 40 or above, this may be the loudest song. My old setup loved it. Prime Minister- Jeezy Eminem- Music Box... is 49 Hz -
18" XL box design?
memphisBred replied to mhart's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
I have mine tuned to 32 Hz with a slot port at around 6.8 cubes. Off of ~2200 watts. I'm loving it right now. Hopefully the second one will be on it's way in a couple of months. Are you going to be be for sure running the t4000? -
Sundown SA-12's on a 1200 or 1500 would be nice

Need your thought`s about this wall design
memphisBred replied to berniebp87's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Never built a wall or even seen one in person, but I would do some 45's in the corners and some dowels for support. Also I bust a nut every time I see those woofers
