  1. How was the rest of the wires in teh rubber door boot? Id check to see if you have any opens in the wiring. Does it change at all when opening and closing the door. Close the latch with a screwdriver and open the door and close. In the middle of doing this, if the symptoms come and go, then i would say its a harness.
  2. Are you talking fender clearance? It also has to do with the offset of your rims, as far as clearance goes. With the right offset, you can roll 6's with little to no issues. Steve is rolling a 3/5 drop on 6's and even lower with the beat. What kit did you go with? Are you happy with the drop. You lookin to go lower. post some pics
  3. Beautiful hoe! I thought it looked great on the stock color, but this just took it to another level. Daily driven show truck, gotta love it
  4. Thats sick. Congrats steve! You been moving stuff already?
  5. You diddnt disconnect the battery when you were updating the wire? I had a bad expierance with not disconnecting the wire and changing cable. When i was in high school in auto shop, i was working on my nova and changing a couple of things. Time had ran out and i had to go to my main school ( auto shop was 3hours long and seperate from regular school). All i wanted to do real quick was change the starter cable. So i put the car in the air and put a wrench on the nut and loosed it. It had grounded to the frame, sparked badly, wrench dropped on my hand and burned it bad, and then i fell backwards to get out the way ( no saftey glasses) and hit my head on the rack. My teacher was pissed. Now that i work on cars for a living, i dont take any chances. anytime i work on beat, i disconnect the battery.
  6. How would you know the frequency of the box? My box was pre-fabbed. When i metered it on the TL it hit 141.2 at 41 hertz, so is that were you set it?
  7. Anyone watch the UFC tonight? Had some decent fights. Jon Jones was handling Vera with ease ( lucky he diddnt give up a arm bar, kept hanging it ot there). That was a perfect shot. Paul Buentello got his ass wooped, but he is tough as shit. Gonzaga got caught with the hook. Cant wait till next week. Should be good
  8. Man, your hoe is hella clean. When you gonna be able to take it home? Also, your d-pillars were black before, right? Did you have them color matched this time or did you keep them black?
  9. This is a good link that weve used when thinking about running a different sie tire. It works great. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
  10. Based on wht you said by "dont really have the money right now", i would go this route, unitl you can afford tires. Ive ran used tires alot in the past ( only bought two new sets of tires), and never had any problems on them. Im still running some used on my wifes car and other cars in my family.
  11. You probably have a base model altima based on the fact that no power windows. Im not sure if it has abs, but you can always turn the key to on and when the warning lights light up in teh instrument panel, it should read "ABS". If not, then im sure you dont have it. I used to work on nissans and work at a dealer now that is nissan/volvo, and i dont recall there being a alarm
  12. Try and find some of craigslist. The go down to a tire shop and have them put on. Or you can go and ask around the local tire shops for some used tires. I picked some used tire for a t bird i had for like 30 a tire, and had 6-7/32 left.
  13. Doing the rear drop on these is a piece of cake. Doing the front is a little harder imo. It all depends on the offset of your wheels. You notice that steve is riding low and is sitting on 6's. Hes probly around a 4/6 drop with the weight of the system before he bags it. If you want it level, you have to get a 2" difference from front to back. These have a stock 2" rake. So a belltech 2/4 drop would be ok, just run some shock extenders so you can still have some travel. Ive seen a lot of people run Mcgaughys and love it. My djm kit rides kinda harsh, but you its the price you pay to ride low.
  14. Cut the bumpstop bracket out and isntall smaller bump stops in place of them. This is a must if your riding with a drop ( and if your resting on the bumpstops). I did this on my yukon and made a hella big difference.
  15. How bout a adjustable panhard bar? Im sure this is what is causing the wheel to seem to be a little further out on the pass side compared to the driver side. I remember a member on a different forum talking about this when he was bagging his yukon. He just did a delete of the panhard bar, but he was also trying to lay it out. Here is a link http://www.suicidedoors.com/4-link-parts/4-link-bars/4-link-round-adj-bar-poly-bushings http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/77A3299A2379587.aspx?kc=AFFCJ&PID=3484884
  16. Hey, im Matt from San Leandro,CA, which is just south of Oakland. Ive been coming on here for a while as a guest, and now decided to join. Seems pretty cool over here, lots of good info. Im 27 years old and just last year got my first system ever. I have a 2006 Yukon that i bought brand new. It has a djm 3/5 drop, Boss 330 22's on some nitto nt420's, and some LED tails. As far as my system goes, I have a pioneer avh-4100 HU, Rockford Power 1000 5 channel, 15" kicker L7, monster rca's, orion cobalt comps and coaxials ( soon to be upgraded hopefully), and KNU power wire. Just like to introduce myself. And i found out bout this site from Meades vis on youtube.
