  1. I've got the HU at eighty an the amp is around eighty i'm guessing or as close as I can eyeball it. The amp isn't going into protection or getting hot. I have the IDQs in a dodge ram glassed box under the rear seats, I have roughly 1-1.2cuft per woofer with a 3" by 11.5 long port, per LEAP and IDs box specs. I can't remember if I checked the phase or not, I'll hook it back up and take a look at it 2moro. I did notice that the IDQs when run off the SA sound like they're crappin out from not enough power, but don't make the noise with the other 2 amps I tried.
  2. No, I don't have the remote gain hooked up. I turned the gain up and it just doesn't seem to have any power output, even maxed out. I've checked all the settings and they are correct for what we usually do with customers vehicles, but that is with different amps. I wanted to try something different so I got the SA but I can't understand why it's not making power. The cheesy little hypnotic amp I put in there, along with the orion was poundin the crap outta the woofers. That's why I was wondering if it needed a line driver.
  3. Eclipse AVN6620 an the LPF is eighty. The HU is spost to be 8v out I'm positive on the amp wired correctly and my boss tuned the system. I work at a shop. The only question I have is on the wires, since it's a monoblock amp it shouldn't matter how my speaker leads go in right? It has to speaker connects like a 2 channel but I just wired it to 1 positive/negative or should I have bridged it?
  4. I just installed a SA 1500D in my truck on 2 IDQ 10s and at 1ohm load the amp is nearly all the way up and it's barely moving the woofers. I took it out an put an orion 5001 (which is 500 at 1 ohm) in an it hit like hell. I know from all the reviews and comments that these are good powerful amps, but I'm not impressed with the output. My question is do I need a line driver to up the input volts to the amp like you hafta do on the earthquake shredders to make power? This is my first time using a sundown amp so unfamiliar with them. Thanks, Wil
  5. We've used the MLK 3 and 2s and they're awesome! Haven't used any of the esk but from the amps and comp we've used I'm very impressed with Hertz
  6. I used dynamat xtreme (I know but we had alot left over at the shop) and some LLP and it kinda looks like a headliner if you lay it out clean. And it deadened it real good to.
  7. I have a 06 jeep LJ and I used bought 3 gallons spectrum on the underside and 1 shop pack damp pro with overkill pro and LLP on the interior. It's VERY quite now, you could probly use less than I did, I went a little overboard on mine. But that should give you some idea of the cost.
  8. I'm bout to buy some damplifier pro, LL, LLP and some overkill for my truck may get some spectrum also. Is there any sales goin on and also who has the best prices normally? Thanks, Dman
  9. Stock Alt for now. I can't remeber what the stock rating is but I'm sure it's higher than most smaller cars are. Why would I leave the stock 4g wires in and run bigger next to it? I'm kinda anal about how wiring looks and think it wouldn't look clean with double wires running. Is it better to leave the stock in place and run new?
  10. I was looking into doing the big 3 on my truck but it's already got what looks like 4g wire on it. My truck is an 06 dodge ram with the cummins diesel engine. I have 2 shuriken 900 batteries on it now (I know they're not the best but I got a good deal on them). My question is, should I upgrade it all to 1/0 gauge? I'll be running 2 Udimensions pro 10.4x amps for the mids/highs and an SAZ3500 for the bass (will be upgrading to an ARC SE4000 in a couple months) Thanks, Dman
  11. When your on as a FF for 12 or 16 hrs that's what you are, and when your on 12 or 8hrs as a cop that's the job your assigned to. They don't call you to do another job different from the one your assigned to at that time.
  12. The depts I know of that are triple cert have you work the 16 hrs of your shift as a FF/Medic and the last 8 as a cop. I know others do 12hrs as a cop an 12hrs as FF/Medic. Sounds like a sweet setup and the boys I know that work at those depts make some decent money and love the job.
  13. I've been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 15 yrs and I wouldn't do anything else. I wake up every 3rd day and am happy to go to work. As far as being triple cert (FF/Medic/Cop) there's a few depts here in texas that your on shift as all 3. It's a pretty decent paying job. I recommend the job to everyone, dude I get paid to hang out with my buddies and have fun, plus the chicks always dig fireman!
  14. I'd spend another 175 on a Sundown 1500. That power acoustic aint gonna do nowhere near 2000w.
  15. Do you think the SA 1500 will have enough power for the LVL4XL? I was thinking maybe just a LVL4
  16. Ok so after looking at subs all day, I'm still torn between 3, the lvl4xl, AA havocs, and the SSA Xcon. They all seem great but don't have any first hand experience with any of them. Someone help me decide!
  17. That's what I'm wanting out of it, she doesn't care as long as it hits hard though. I gotta make her happy with her system so she'll let me finish mine! LOL
  18. Will the SA 1500 be enough power for the subs yall listed?
  19. Hey guys I'm gonna be putting a single 15 in my wifes tahoe and was wondering what yall would recommend. I wanna keep the box to about 4-4.5cuft internal with woofer and port. I'll be running a SA 1500 on it. She wants it to hit decent and I'd like it to have a decent sound as well. I've been looking at the AA woofers and like them pretty well. What do yall recommend? Thanks Dman
  20. Yall should extend it till the 31st, I don't get paid again til then! LOL
  21. Check with rocky mountain suspension. They carry several different lifts for your bronco. All the lifts will ride basically the same, Pro comp and superlift will ride a little better cuz of the spring design. Good quality shocks will play a big part in the ride quality. I'd definatley try and get full rear leafs instead of blocks, with blocks your ride will suffer and axle wrap will be awful.
