  1. lmao... I'd like to see rusty's response to this...
  2. i got this... in chocolate.. they also have a mass gainer that is cheaper.. but again you'll gain fat too. Iso is big because it has (i believe) 0 carbs. You get strong without getting fat http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/nb/iso.html
  3. I did the mass xxx or whatever from gnc... and the 60g whey protein they make. It was alright, but nothing too special. It didn't work anywhere near as good as other stuff i've had. Now I use muscle milk, before i used isopure. Iso is great because you get about 50 servings for around 80 bucks online. Keep in mind too that your body can't dissolve that much protein at one time, so really just 2 of the 3 scoops it calls for works fine. I add milk and peanut butter to mine and blend it (which is around another 20g of protein.) Chicken and fish are the way to go. Red meats have cretene which is always good, but i stuck to chicken for cutting fat and gaining muscle. I strongly recommend isopure, I added like 70 lbs to my bench and dropped to 4.7 percent body fat in just a few months (keep in mind im skinny like 160lbs, but still) pm for info I'm big into this kinda stuff
  4. why would you run a sub thats that expensive... and not an expensive amp? i wouldn't recommend anything under 400 bucks for that sub. Idk if i can even think of an amp under a grand that i would run that off of... maybe an aq 3500
  5. lol no, too much resin will not add strength to fiberglass. BUT, any dry spots in glass will be weak spots. Seeing as how glass has a thickness and you really don't know how much resin penetration you have, its best to soak it, squeegee it, do whatever you have to make sure that the fiberglass is thoroughly wet. I use it in aviation to fix interior pieces and the number one problem we have is when people have dry spots in the glass. The fiberglass will not crack and blow out of the port. lol. Once its bonded to the wood its not going anywhere. The fiberglass to wood bond should be stronger than the wood to wood ones.
  6. Cut fiberglass into squares- it makes it easier to apply. Mix resin, spread on the inside of the enclosure. Put the mat over the wet resin. Put more resin over the cloth, and wait. you want to make sure the fiberglass is SOAKED for highest strength. And caulk? lol the resin will seal teh wood. As far as brands... any will do. the more expensive resins spread easier and stuff but the stuff from napa or other automotive stores works just as well.
  7. k so i guess everybody agrees on the 9518? no aq or anything? course not, there 18 is only like 310 bucks lol. I'm going up to the DD dealer up the road right now.. I'll letcha know soon whether thats what im gonna do or not. i doubt they'll have the 9500s in stock but hopefully. i wanna hear one of these things
  8. that would be great.. i can get t2s for 460ea., and thats what im planning in my budget. A 9518 for around a grand would deff. be worth it to me.
  9. yeah i understand... its just im 5 grand in now, i really don't want to top it off with some cheap subs. This project is all about being high end, sounding great, solid reliability, etc. A year ago i would have jumped all over those subs, but if im spending a fortune (at least in my eyes) on a car, why would i spare on the system? Usually my system costs more than the car... lol
  10. how big? like are we talking 800 or like well over a grand?
  11. lol yeah i just realized im a cheap ass jk i was talking about the ts-w5102... its like 1300 or something... http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://12.41.28.254/pioneerpremier/TSW5102SPL.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.adleraudio.com/web/mdl/TSW5102SPL/detail.asp&usg=__bxhgbBoSkc0snwr8Esl5sj_mQIw=&h=400&w=399&sz=18&hl=en&start=2&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=HmpLRApd93apBM:&tbnh=124&tbnw=124&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpioneer%2Bpremier%2Btsw%2B5102%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN%26tbs%3Disch:1 I wanna say pioneers championship truck ran 13 of these off 152,000 watts and come up with 182 dbs.. i looked that up a LONG time ago so i might be wrong but i'm pretty sure
  12. yeah i pulled the spair out the other day.. i have 7 inches down there. i have no idea what the dimms of the batteries are though.. if they fit then hellz yeah i'll get em
  13. Which pioneers are you talking about? I'm wrong actually.. im talking the pioneer premier tsw5102.. or something like that.. most of the pioneer "Championship" subs can't compete with dd or any of the more high end brands. lol
  14. really nice... demo'd one in my car at 4400 watts@1. crazy loud i wish i woulda bought it
  15. o yeah... 08 focus though.. i have like NO room in the engine compartment. Irragi makes up to a 260? for my car, it was on ebay though and idk if i trust that. I'm planning on getting the kinetic batteries though.. they are nice as hell. Had yellow tops on my last 4kw system, i just want new stuff. the only problem is hiding all those batteries
  16. the original plan was 2 btls, two 2500s... the power will be upgraded as necessary. If the 9500 isn't loud enough at 3300 watts i'd add more, no problem. I like the idea of the 9518 because of the airspace ill be using (around 7 cu ft) the fact that it is one sub and not a lot means it'll save me money over 2 dd 9512s. Plus, if i did do two 12's, i'd have to save up the money and buy two 9512s (or whatever) at the same time. whereas If one is loud enough, I'm gonna stop at that. I'm not trying to break records, this was originally gonna be my sq car. I guess the deciding factor would be cost, which i'll prob figure out before the end of the day. the dealer is right up the street.... lol. Its just really small and i keep missing it as i drive by.
  17. ahh... damn that is a lot.. so what kind of electrical upgrades do ppl usually recommend for that kind of power? im prob gonna end up around 4k of CLEAN power as you put it lol. thats why i bought the rockfords.. and a 300 dollar oscope :/ this is my no budget system so itll be right. just lookin for guidance on some stuff
  18. Anybody? DD 9518g or anybody have rough retail value?
  19. I agree with this.. if you have enough space behind the box, port back prob wouldnt be too bad. But I've always heard that the sub and port should point up, with the port being as far back as possible. Just my 2 cents, according to my post count im a noob so what could i know lol
  20. oh yeah i noticed.. I've been researching forever... I get huge discounts on all the fosgate stuff... the dealer i buy from told me to wait until the new stuff came out. So i did research while i waited and learned there was WAY better stuff out there. plus 18's are bad ass I was gonna get an smd ran off two 1500's but the nearest dealer is like 2 hrs away and im lazy AQ stuff is really cheap, and i heard 2 hdc3s- thought i was gonna go deaf. I just like the DD stuff a lot more. Think the 2500 will be too much for the 9518? i wanna say they usually put out around 3100+
  21. thats what i was hoping to hear actually.. how much are these things tho?? i cant find prices ANYWHERE
  22. Biggest box i can squeeze in there is 32 x 32 x 16.5... comes out to around 8 cubes before port/woofer displacement
  23. I have an 08 focus and im trying to put some stuff in it.... right now i have rockford power series everything except subs. I haven't figured out what to buy sub wise.. currently i have a 1500-1 rated at over 1800@1. Planning to get a 2500-1 after the electrical is upgraded enough. Any suggestions? Biggest box i can squeeze in my trunk is 32*32*16.5 tall, was planning to point subs into the cab and seal off from the outside, let me know what you think. I like DD, Fi, RF(obviously ) and AQ but I wanna ask around before i buy. Thanks
  24. dude i made an account just to reply to this... lol. Dont poke holes in or ruin your stuff.. if its soft, just put a piece of duct tape on the dust cap and pull it off.. If its not THAT soft.. heat it up with a heat gun that do the duct tape thing..
