  1. this build is sick! you run a shop over in queens? i'd love to give you some business, pm sent!
  2. i dunno steve, it still just says "Please wait while we load the chat" and I get the grey box forever. I can see who is in the room and everything and I can type stuff but no one else can see me and I can't see what they're saying. Maybe its the browser I'm using? (Safari on my macbook)
  3. So what do you think about this I'm running about 3k watts total in a 2007 Honda Accord. I'll be charging with a 220 Amp Mechman Alt. I want to (obviously) replace the stock battery under the hood. Given those parameters, whats the recommended XSPOWER battery? I'm sure someone has a similar setup
  4. sick 11,500 members. amazing work!
  5. Does anyone else have this issue: i can open the chat but it never loads. It just shows the "please wait while chatroom loads" message forever. I'm on a macbook, safari is the browser i'm using... just wanna see if someone has a fix i think the chat is probably pretty cool. Also, I'm on a good internet connection so its not a speed problem
  6. looks sick! im doing a similar panel in mine im tuned in looking forward to it
  7. everyone has great mechanical suggestions here but I had a similar problem with my car. i changed the plugs and put in a cold air intake, changed the oil ect. basically what these guys said. I have a 2007 honda accord and its EPA rated at something like 30 MPG highway. I was getting about 18. I DO have a lot of weight in the car BUT i realized that if i keep the RPMs below 3k the car does substantially better on gas. i know that seems obvious but youd be surprised just how much gas is wasted when you open it up for short bursts constantly.
  8. looks good, hopefully its out soon, I've got 4 amps that need proper gain setting. Steve, if its at or around 100 dollars I'll be the first in line.
  9. good to hear your gonna be working on those towers again they were so SICK but then the updates stopped! caddy looks sweet shame to see it go for now
  10. i agree this forum is great. very helpful, theres a ton of knowledge between the members. check those ads though, some of them are great sites.
  11. ok just as an experiment i spliced another remote wire right into the one from the head unit and it works perfectly. i may do the relay in the future though, that seems like a good idea. thanks again for all the help guys
  12. yeah dude i kno thanks for looking out. im not really clear about running other batteries though... you don't think i'd need an extra one? it is 4 12s i don't wanna overdraw current.
  13. that looks like some kinda ill diagram but its a little confusing no?
  14. kranny no need to get so cranky. but thanks for the information i wasn't aware that it was so easy
  15. skittles you got that right. 3 amps 2 on the subs 1 for the mids and highs. by no means an extreme system but how could it mess up the hu?
  16. yeah but i then theres the whole wiring the other battery. i need an isolator or relay or something, i haven't looked into how to do that yet honestly
  17. FOR REAL. you guys hit me with that so quick. thank you so much.
  18. so im running two amps to four 12s in the trunk of my 07 honda. my pioneer head unit only had enough RCA outs for the four channel amp and one of the sub amps so what i did was use a 2 female 1 male y splitter to get the signal to both amps. I ran the power wire and and ground and hooked it up to 2 12s out of box just to test everything. then i realized I wasn't running turn on wire. how do i do that for the second amp? if this is a ridiculous question, sorry, its my first build
  19. ok thank you all. the big three is a huge pain in the ass in this car, my alt to battery wire is so hard to get to. ill just use stinger 0 gauge. i ran the amp already and honesty there was hardly a voltage drop. im already running tons of stuff off this battery, its defiantly time for an upgrade. Big three first but like i said its really hard to do in this car i cant get to the wires.
  20. this all sounds encouraging. i havent done the big three but i know all about it and will do it once I get some good wiring. as i said the car has not been electrically modified in any way. (except for little things like hids and interior lights but as far as audio goes, its all factory from alt to battery) im actually amazed at how nice this system sounds with relatively little power. anybody have a preferred brand of wire they suggest? I was using stinger
  21. ok i think your probbably right about the new battery up front, any suggestions? and as far as the RMS its about 60Wx4 for the mids and highs and i'd say 200W RMS for the subs. again, i know it isnt really that much power. hope that helps
