I have one of these. I custom wired the 08 accord unit to work for my 07. Apexi makes some amazing products, I tune my engine with their AFC NEO. I knew you were gonna jump on this eventually Steve. the other day I was changing my wheels and the alarm was armed. I hadn't jacked the car up or anything and I was about to start when the alarm went off completely unprovoked. I never touched the car and my alarm is decent but I don't have proximity sensors. I think sometimes the system just reacts to a surge or who knows. I've had this same thing happen to me before when I wasn't outside with the car... scary feeling when you think someone is trying to jack your ride. Glad it was nothing

Cleaning out the stockpile and I found this old box... its a JL Audio Powerwedge for 2 10s It originally came with 10w8s and was stuffed with that box filler junk. There is still some cotton residue in there. Anyway anyone who wants it can have it Nice way to start the year, free box... Also, it was made in 1999 but the carpet is still nice and there are no real big damage spots. It's hardwired and sealed already... back then they used like 16 gauge wire... You could easily change that. Screw style terminals. Here's some pics. Also, Mods, I've been around awhile.. I have the same issues man. I always prefer to live on my own. But for job purposes, this 4 bedroom was the best option, and I got three mates that were willing, so I find myself with the same situation. They leave shit out all the time. They don't clean, they don't put away their work. We all have projects but I always clean my mess. Unless its huge and I want to finish it the next day, I have never left anything out on the counter or table. I'm moving out in March. It's the only thing you can do Fish. When people are slobs like your describing, its because they're comfortable with that lifestyle. They won't change regardless of notes or reminders. Just pack up and be out. Easiest move.

The filter is all that really matters, and to be honest, you probably won't feel much gain anyway. I would say get a K/N filter for <50 and modify the stock intake tube to fit it. Fab up a little heat shield and there you go, short ram air. The pre assembled kits do not increase the diameter of the pipe going to your intake manifold so the gains are only seen by the speed with which the air is delivered. You can get more air faster but you don't get much more. I say go for the K/N (or comparable) filter before you waste money on a ebay kit. I've seen ebay kits made of super cheap materials that are easy to break.

could you be picking up the static through the rca somewhere along the run? like maybe they rubbed through and theres contact somewhere to the frame or something. I don't think the outs on the deck are the problem though.

intake first. I/E/P are like the most common bolt on mods for all cars. thats cold air intake (or short ram), exhaust and pulleys. Then you can start doing an intake manifold, throttle body upgrade, some spacers, fuel rail, injectors, headers, some kind of tuning computer... those kinds of things. major upgrades are internals or boost.
