Help reconing my 15" DC XL
TorK102 replied to dj00140's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Yeah I doubt it too. I'm reconing my dc now, or at least cleaning all of the crap off for the recone -
Good thing man. Like I said, I'm working on my recone now, if it doesn't smell pleasant, it isn't pleasant. Whenever you smell that, your either clipping or over-excurting the subs. Good luck with it man

WTB. Blown DC level 4 15". I already have one that I'm reconing with level 5 soft parts, and I need another to finish my winter build. Please pm me if you have one for sale. Thanks

Its clipping. I am reconing my sub because it was clipping and I didn't catch it in time. Turn down the gain or you'll fry the vc like I did. I smelled it, turned it down and it was done. I had been running it for a few days prior to that, beating the hell out of it. Lower the gain

WayOr if your looking for a cheaper amp to run them. Try out the crescendo 3k. Many people believe they are the same as sundown. And dc's pwn by the way...

I'll be doing the same. Two dc level 5 15 neos for my cougar.

2 Memphis 15's

That may help, but a 900 watt amp shouldn't really need a big 3 and another battery. Have you had the amp bench tested? -
I heard all dc subs are going to have a neomag model, is that true?

How much difference?
TorK102 replied to iKidwell's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
I have a level 4 with level 5 soft parts. It hits great and sounds clean, even out of a crappy amp. I'd say XL. Or you can save some more money and get a level 5.
