  1. It should work with the splitter, Just get one and try it.
  2. Ummm, charging batteries is 14.4 volts. The voltage is regulated using a regulator, normally these are regulated to 14.4 - 14.7 for charging, your alternator sounds perfectly fine, it's just the regulator doing it's work. Your alternator will charge slightly higher when it is cold, that's normal but when it's warmed up it should perform around 14.4 - 14.7 I don't even get over 14 volts at all.
  3. It was parked in the school, checking the cameras today, nope no insurance. I did have it bolted down but from working on it I just had it sitting there, and riiiiip!!! All gone... Left my other amp though, wats really annoying is the window...
  4. Well got the other door done, had it in for about 2 hours, then had band practice at school. Parked in the school, with a mates car beside, someone broke my window, and literally ripped my amp out. My fusion NV AM2500.1d. God fucking dammit, they broke my rear left window. I had my wqallet on the bash and the front amp under the seat, they left those but took my amp and ran, didn't see or hear with band practice on.... So Donations anyone? Hahaha, I will pay shipping! This may take me out of the game... Doors sound great though!
  5. Amp just got jacked... Broke my window and literally ripped everything out... Taking donations for a new amp, or a new amp, Will pay shipping :)

  6. Thanks loganberry, this is my first kinda proper door build... Going to hopefully get into glassing stuff soon Hey Boon, Kiwi for life mate! Haha, I'm up in Auckland but go down to Welly to play gigs sometimes. I wonder how many kiwi's there are... Me, you, bassl0va, who else! Once this gets down though I might road trip it to Welly for a car show or dB drag or somthing, got alot of work to do though. Lol.
  7. Some more: First hole, god it's whorey: For the 6.5 mid: It's out!: After a clean up of the wholes I test fitted: And then ran out to the car, tested it with my mounting system wich is basically some holes drilled with bolts. haha. And the wiper didn't fir over it... So I grabbed my wood file and started at it! Took soooo long..: Then it got dark! Lol: Cutting out the second one after tracing it: Then shifted of to my mates house, his dad is a builder so I had all the tools I need and an extra set of hands!: I have allways wanted to look pro with just the basket for testing : Real one in: Wiring it up, god it's a bloody mess!: Batteries: Sub amp Haha 2500.1: All done at the moment: Sounds great for having spent a total of $40 in speakers on just one door. Comment away.

Heres the sub in the box: Looks allright for a tenner: Old door: panel I am replacing: My components: Drawing out, planning, and tracing stuff: Cutting woohoo! 9. Hey guys, finally got round to putting in some decent mids and highs in my car, a 1988 Honda City E. I have had some 100w 6.5 components in there, but need some more kick and some more mid-bass. This got me thinking of getting some cheap 8inch woofers and stick them in. But then found this shop closing down with 10inch subs for $10 buks!Thats like 6.80 for you guys! So I bought three, Blew up one and then putting the other two in my doors! I allways end up rushing things and this is no exception! Haha Anyways some pictures are uploading now, 150mb of them. So hang on tight. Only got one door done tonight, got a chem exam tomorrow, but afterwards the other will be done, sealed, doors foamed etc. Hang on fellaz
  10. Everytime I first start up my system, I have to shock my bass into working, so it wont play the bass then I have to crank it and then it will start playing, turning of the deck and turning it on again (i.e turn of amp then on quickly, but not too fast like within 5 secs)Seems to make it just work right away. Not sure why, never questioned it. Try it before you play a song. Or start your radio in acc (i.e car not on) Let it play for like 2-3 secs then start the car and you should be sweet.
  11. Thanks for the link, god dayum, nice job! Just watched your walmart video again too. Haha, that's one pounding car.
  12. I have an ESP Eclipse-II. And it totally rips on the metal riffs and solos. However one downfall was it only has 22 frets. Just bend moar! Hahaha. All of the ESP's have really nice sounds for that metal genre.Or go for an Ibanez RG series. Both are brilliant from personal experiances, however my ESP is my main guitar, soon to be replaced by a new Ibanez S prestige.
  13. Cheers man, did my big 3 last night so going to see how well it goes today with a few bumps
  14. Haha cheers man! Plans have changed as money is tight... Goin to redo my 12 install unroll the funds come in for the new equiptment.
  15. Haha yea, be pretty good! Damn pandas... Need some help with my box. When using slot ports I'm completely clueless... I'm going to be using Blaupunkt VPW460's. 2 of them, but in 'seperate boxes' that are joined. Fres 37 Hz Qts 0.6 Qes 0.71 Qms 3.8 Vas 36.7 litres Xmax + / - 15.0 mm I'm having trouble with port calculation. I have about 15 inches on height and about 40 inches of width. Just wondering if anyone can help me to get a length and some port calculations. The sub has a 10 inch mounting depth. Thanks for any help guys. This square port stuff is really confusing!
  16. Hey guys, just joined to see all the amazing builds and thought I would stick mine up too! Heres the info: I'm 17 years old and live in New Zealand! I bought my first car 3 months ago ($300 NZD), a 1988 Honda City E. 1300cc 4 cylinder hatchback. Me and my mate both have the same cars and we are having a little comp to see whos can be the loudest and whos can be the best SQ. Anyways, this is the gear that I have in my possession and most of it currently installed, picked most of it up for cheap. 2 x Fusion NV 12 inch subs (1100WRMS each, 2 ohm voice coils) 1 x Fusion NV AM2500.1 (1800WRMS at 1 ohm, I'm running it at 0.5 ohm. Seems stable...) 1 x 4x120WRMS response mids + highs amp 2 x Venom 6.5 components (100WRMS) 2 x Venom 6x9's (100WRMS) 8m of 1 AWG power cable 1m of 2AWG amp cabling 8AWG sub wire 8 FARAD soundstream cap (Blowen like hell, connected backwards a few times..... HEhehe Used as a distribution block mainly...) So, I do have this installed, but am going to remake the box, make an amprack, and get my 6 x 9's in this time... I need help with the design for a new box, will get measurements from my car soon, but the back seats are coming out this time! I want something with rad airflow please, I odn;t know. Please help lol. Also, I know everyone thinks that fusion is crap, but hey, I got a mean deal on it and it's up to the install mostly! So any help I can get from you guys will really help me out. Pics form first build! Heres the car: And a sub: My pile of stuff: Video of it bumping a little bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Poehd7O3F_E Long term plans are a full kit out with 2 x 18's (Those Blaupunkt ones [vpw460] are pretty common here), 2 x 10's for mids, and 6x9's plus 6.5 components firing out the boot for an ultimate park and pump ride! Rear battery and buss bars are coming soon, I got some aluminum that's going to be perfect... Just need more money. Also would like a new alt. But I have to get one form the states and thats FAR to costly, so a bracket may be mounted up for two alternators, but thats all to come... And be paid for haha! Thats all for now.... Just need help on the Q's up top!
