  1. So my friend just got a new 2011 Jetta and we are starting the build on this car that is only a few weeks old. So in the trunk behind both wheel wells is a space big enough to put an amp on each side so I want to fiberglass a rack in on each side. The way I was going to do it (or how I fiberglassed in the past) was the cover everything with painters tape, make a mold, and then build off that. So here is where I need some more experienced minds. How do I keep all the fiberglass and resin from just sliding down to the bottom since it is a semi-vertical surface? Do I let the resin sit and get tacky first? Any help would be great Thanks guys, Dan
  2. Thats what I think. Unless you do competitions I don't see a downside to a break in.
  3. Looks good to me. Ground the back batteries too. Don't just run grounds to the front battery. (Maybe you just didnt draw it in)
  4. You will make zero money on those cards. There were MILLIONS made. Thay arn't exactly rare.
  5. Yea I don't like people who play there stereos at night and at stop lights. Really annoying.
  6. I got a good walk around of the car. How about showing the equipment?
  7. Done, i dont know what the "canteen" is or anything. But my reasoning for all my answers was variety and healthy. So I hope thats true. Haha
  8. That is the most general question I have ever seen. Anyway it sets the frequency the bass boost is centered around. Most amps are fixed around 40 hertz.
  9. I think your problem might be that you picked kick ass subs and weak amps.
  10. Well they are rated for 600 each so they will take the 1600 watts you have.
  11. The shop didnt try to sell you "legit" brands like JL and Alpineh instead? Wierd.
  12. I blew two bazooka 12's today Well... they didn't blow yet. My friend bought two from a guy around school with a 250 rms amp for about 150. He then tore the box that they came in to make it fit in his truck, and cut holes all over the box because he thought he was porting it o.O I hooked em up for him today and I had set everything right, it wasn't loud enough for him. So he asked me to just turn everything all the way up and not to worry about if it blows. I told him that it wasn't a good idea, but he didn't listen. Soo...... How long does it take to blow 2 crappy subs with gain all the way up, bass boost at 12db, and virtually no lpf? Wait thats not how you make dee beez?? Shoot I've been doing it wrong.
  13. Hey man blowing subs happens. I'm sure 90% of the people here have done it.
  14. there is no way in hell i could have done that i didnt put the battery terminals until i was about to cut my truck on and leave Wait so the battery isn't even on?....
