Things badass, with the JZ MOTORS line boring is a must not to many people in the usa can even do it I think only 6 people bought the propper mount to bolt the engine down, with the line boring they are all exactly illigned, rather than a normal v8 which each cyliner can be a tiny bit off, with the straight motors they need to be perfect to obtain good balanced numbers Black on black with black interior and wheels... its sick, I put a tline 8 in the back for some traction weight

I wish I had a pic of the supra I see everyday lol My brother in law built a badass one 600hp 450-500 at the wheels right now before it looses rpm signal for some odd reason Shits fast as fuck 5speed manual conversion, got new suspention standalone computer for the tuning etc U can get 400 hp from the second gen supras with about 400$ u need new injectors and the lexus maf sensor and u can boost up to 15 psi on stock motor everything.... past 400 hp u need engine management and $$$$$ He's prolly got 10-15gs into it, plus countless hrs assembling the motor, swaping the trannys and everything else from his doner car

Have you "poped" the subs with a 12 volt batt? Sounds like one might be out of phase I beat mine up with 2 dc 5ks clamping 3.5k to each

ur clipping due to voltage drop! thats why ur sub is getting hot get a h/o alt and most of ur problems will go away ur box is also a little on the big side imo

lets do the math 500 amps of draw and u get 40 for your car and o wow 100 for your stereo this instantly means you ARE UNDER RESTING VOLTAGE OF YOUR BATTS so what do you batts rest at? i bet you all the money you got that they dont rest at 13.8 i have 1 5k playing right now, i have a 270 amp alt and 4 batts and i DROP BELOW 13.8 dont give me that bullshit!!!! y dont you tell us voltage at full tilt! yeah just checked out you build log. sweet amp rack btw. but yeah that definitely seems like the deck malfunctioned. you should email alpine the pictures and let them know what happened. your lucky you caught that fast because it could have definitely ended worse. yea im super lucky about that.... car was parked under a huge front deck, so if the car went up the house would have been up aswell, i got plenty of fire extinguishers but its just not something that i wanted to do thanks, i want to rebuild the amprack from metal and actuator it so its a little more "pleasing" to the eye and i dont have to curl the +60lbs of amps each time anyone wants to see the subs or amps im thinking about emailing alpine but i got it off craigslist, soooo i donno if they will even work with me, its always worth a shot... i might have to check that out, im leaning towards a screen tho, ive always wanted one might be about that time.... im just glad my amps and car are ok

no way if u look in my build long u can see they are insulated real nice everything wired away from everything else im quite confused, wonder if it was just the deck or something with the car, car seems find deck is fucked lol so it leads me to believe faulty deck but really ???? that seems very odd especially for it to malfunction and basically catch fire

and to the pics yes i know there are exposed wires i just yanked the fucker out, it was burning hot i wasnt going to unplug everything! the rear rcas 1 hr later this is the temp of the h/u im in Santa Cruz so its not above 68 right now and all my electronics are cold to the touch... well except this on the fried under belly on the cage one more close up of the back of the rcas RIP to my deck lol so on the bright side some lucky person needs a CDA 9887 face plate i have one forsale or anyone selling the deck and no face plate let me know hahaha

Just tested the amps they both play I took the headunit apart lookes like a mini bomb went off right behind the rcas And I can't get this damn burnt. Electrical smell off my hands Well glad the amps are ok, bummed on my 9887 thoes are great decks My buddy ray thought it may have lost ground searched for a ground then used rcas to ground..... when I looked at the harness it all unburnt but its just hard to tell, I don't wanna go in there for more than 10 sec smells like shit

That's kinda what I was thinking but the rcas are completely gone on the h/u side of things both amps are in protect too Anyone had an amp send power thru ur rcas to pop their headunit, the proceed to smoke it till ignition

Pics in a few I was just inside my house upstairs walk onto my front deck, and smell burn electronics, drop everything in my hands run to the railing to see smoke comming from the dash of my car I don't think I've ever ran so fast, jumped in the car and uggghhh my alpine cda 9887 is billowing smoke and retarted hot I proceeded to grab the deck rip it out like a theif and threw it outside, burned my fingers in the process The rcas are melted all the way back to the amp in the back and the plugs are melted into the back of the deck All I got to say is wow thank god I didn't have a car fire today Anyone ever had a deck catch fire

Ill make this easy 500 h/o alt biggest u can get (id buy one for 350, get a batt for 100 and wire for 100) 500 subs (2 15s, 1 18, maybe 2 18s if u can find a great deal) 500 amp for subs like u said crecendo sundown 3500 etc Bam ur outta cash, and u gotta build a box, sooo that's y its a tight budget I got 2k in just amps 1k subs 1k electrical Xxxx in mids and highs amps and barely do a 150, granted its from a trunk but that is a big goal with that budget! There's a few guys on here who got their 150 with a 3500, might want to look thru the member builds get some ideas before u just go blow money on something u might wanna change ur mind later on
