u should be i didnt get to finish postin all the damn pics from my 2 years of progress, threw the two cars i started with 1 18, on two saz 1500s, got a lvl 5, got another, got an SD 8k and built the box that was a miserable fail, switched cars, and am now starting over with 2 lvl 5 12s and 2 lvl 2 8s on a sundown 1500 and the 5's off the 8k with a rainbow and alpine amp on the highs with 3 component sets and a couple coaxals the new car was completely baige and the old green and black, all off the old door pannels got moved to the new car, along with all of the stereo crap, but im switching to the lvl 5 12s to gain trunkspace, and do my final build in this car, hopefully

boxes for the DC 8s in the back deck!!!! a lil xs and DC love plans for the new box for 2 dc lvl 5 12s got wood! a lil fake fit with my glass insert for my box and a lil mockup i did at the end of today last pic for today got the amp racks built too i get more pictures tommarow when the recones and baskets get here for the 18 to 12 conversion, and im resinin the box tommarow as well, so i got my work ahead of me

one amp rack under the amp rack batter tray test fit the top box bolts onto the other box the back box that sits on the shelf and was then ported, with yes 2 4 inch ports and 1 8 NOTE this box was an epic fail hahahhahaa i wasnt lyin about my car and accidents too hahahaha

1 more recone the new idea and the progress how the doors were a lil dusty after a few cuts

the amp rack and it didnt fit with my new box so i was at it again hahaha the new box with an 8" port and yes this ones hard to see, but holy shit thats a crazy nite the car is off the edge, lets just say there was some drunk driving goin on in my driveway o heres a nice car! and my first lvl 5 18 and a major slow down in stereo progress i broke bothe bones in my wrist dirbiking, i fell about 25 feet onto my wrist trailridng by myself 40 min from help, and i came to under the bike, im super lucky but it slowed me down for a little bit the old deck ill get a pick of new one soon

and heres round 2 for the pictures! and here we all started somewhere and heres my baby a great truck i dont know what happened to it my first 18" sub, it was a 2000 ish rd magnet with a sundown cone, great sub, popped it in a heart beat with 2 saz1500 strapped at 1 ohm got reconed to a dc lvl 5 soft parts and it works like a champ

I want to give Rusty and Ana a huge shout out thanks for all the help and all the recones also thanks Ray (DC98Hoe) and everyone else who helped me out along the way, or sold me some of my amazing equipment that took me so long to get... but finally i basically have everything, Rusty called me when i was both hands deep in my 8" box builds to tell me about a problem with the color scheme on the dust caps, but as always hes eager to help out, and we had a short conversation, i finished up my resin, and got another call, discussed many more ideas, and so on.... and changed some of my box specs, and he sent out the re-cones today so, i should have them tommarow, and i only need to buy more wire but that is a future, and this will mostly be my last build for this car This build is going to have a ton of pictures in a long process almost 2 years from my 2000 Grand Marquis LS (Luxury Sport), and then transfering to the similar car a 1999 Grand Marquis HPP (fast one) though it will be far from that when the 500+ lbs hit the trunk The first have pictures from my old car and a few builds that didnt go quite as planned... and they will continue..... I have way to much love for my first car, but it was a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado, and ive always wanted a boat again, it was barely two doors but 1.5 feet longer than my giant ass 4 door now (the crown vic) but my true baby is a 1972 Detomso Pantera thats hiding in the garage till im 30 hahaha my favorite car of all is my first Grand Marquis, which is basically a Crown victoria, or even more commonly a cop car or FBI which the amazing green and black windowed car started that way, but 3 massive accidents later , and more 4 wheeling that most 4 wheelers have ever done it turned black and got a little banged up, but this is going to be a picture story of the cars so it goes..... leave any comments you want, but no hatin take that somewhere elce we all started somewhere!

your level 5 drinks up 8k you got 2 level 5 right i almost got to level 5 12s but i waited for the level 6 but thats going to be sick 2 12s bang Yea it handled it with no clipping, as soon as i would clip i can get it warm, but that user error not sub.....(ie my choice to clip it) I would do the 8k they are really great amps for a great price..... Yep yep hopefully the 2 lvl 5 12s slam ill know soon enough

Do the xl! Unless ur runnin over 3.5k like everyone u wont even see a gain with the lvl 5, and the xls sound a lil better on music, imo

XX2 to what boilermaker said what he said its the shit!!!!! the lvl 5 handles it if you got the electrical to support its 800amp draw mine only gets warm when i clip the shit outta it ... and it still takes a minute

My bigger ports hit lower and move more air even tho its tunned higher a few hz higher

Jeez not to say anything against him, but i dont think u will find anyone on here that will say that lil, but u never know 10-20sq foot per cube, it all depends on the car too 8-12 just seems small to me, i had small ports with my last two boxes and now i finally opened it up a little, and im barely to 15sq fer foot, and its much better in my opinon

I also had very good luck with a single 8" round port tunned in the 25 to 29hz range, i want to get a 12" pipe and try the round port again
