I hate these crappy cheap hids that the guy I bought my truck from put on I've had a problem with all 4 of them already what is a good set of hids??

K series is expensive you have to change everything the h or b series would be cool I like the gsr motor. The b series motors are interchangable. I had a gsr motor with the type r trans like it way better than the b16 motor with the type r trans

Nice reminds me of mine i had a 97 that I made to look like a 99 si and I swapped a gsr motor w/type r trans in and I had tein coil overs on it

Or you could just get coil overs so you can lower to where you want it I had teins on mine and I also liked ground controls just don't go cheap cause it will ride horible

We ended up havin to drive the truck home. Got the truck to blairsville ga and the alt wasn't charging the batt so we had to stay over. Replaced the alt and volt regulator and still wasn't charging so we just desided to drive it off the batt luckly we had 3 big c&d batts with us so we ran the stock and one c&d batt. Ever time we stopped to fill up we charged the batts up and sometimes changed the c&d out for another. We ended up changing the fan belt and dicided to take the alt belt of and we made it all the way home.

So if I add a ground from batt to chassis should help is that what your sayin?

The alt isn't whining under the hood anymore. Its a mechman 270a. It comes with a post to ground it to the batt.

What can I do to fix the noise from the alt??

It does get louder when you rev the motor. The rcas are ran on the otherside of the truck. actully I went under the hood and the alt is makining the same noise I unplugged it and its not making the noise anymore??

I installed my new alternator today and ran 2 runs of 1/0 from the front to back and added another ground in the back. The aternator is grounded to the batt. Now I have a really loud whinning noise any ideas??
