  1. Finally got some cash to spend, so I'm gonna hopefully upgrade. Looking at a pair of 1000+ RMS 12's & amp(s) to go with, so if you got something like that (AQ HDC3, DC Level 4, etc.) let me know and we'll discuss. What I have now: Sony CD-GT550UIW Headunit Clarion EQS746 7-Band EQ Cadence ZRS-C9 Amplifier Crescendo CCX65 6.5" Door Speakers Memphis PR693V2 6x9" Rear Deck Speakers Incoming: Knu 1/0 front-back/big 3 2nd Battery (still deciding) Subs/Amp(s) (LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GOT ) Got the car tinted to KY-legal specs today. Before After Crescendo crossover on door panel (going to tidy up soon) Mah new toys Stay tuned.
  2. I like where this is going. Giggity, giggity, gig-i-ty.
  3. So, in return for screwing up a Big Mexican Woman, you get a better job? Hmm, now to find a 750...
  4. Bump. I loved these subs, but I'm moving on, need the baskets gone and need a few extra spending dollars. Make me some cash offers.
  5. Really? I think they sound pretty good if they`re eq`d decently, but then again there could be better speakers out there for less money that I dont know about =] They're okay if you EQ them, but I think that quote for a set of active speakers is an incredible deal. Just add mixer/EQ/cables & go.
  6. I don't like the sound of the JRX's. They lack some of the upper HF's and sound awfully flat to me. Like I said, got a quote of the EV ELX 112P's & 118P's for around $2400. That would work great for anything they need (I'm getting the same thing too )
  7. I wouldn't trust a BB warranty if it was over my life. If there's a warranty from the manufacturer, then that's fine. But no need for a dealer "warranty", there's not much they can do anyways.
  8. Sound alone? You're looking at a good portion of that going towards a decent quality mixer. What exactly are you guys looking for? yea this would just be sound alone. there is a guy that has all his equipment that we use but our speakers pretty much dont exist well may b a little crazy but best buy has now been selling pro audio like pa speakers and amplifiers u might wanna check out but my personal favorite is jbl's pro audio for speakers and amps id recommend crown amps wich best buy sells or look on ebay Nice thanks man, didnt know about bestbuy. I will def check them out Eh, you're better off staying away from Best Buy, they'll more than likely overcharge you. I got a quote on two ELX112P 12" loudspeakers & 2 ELX118P 18" subwoofers for around $2400, which gives you room for a small mixer & some EQ. I'll get in touch with that guy with that quote again
  9. I'd stay away from the Gemini GSM gear. If budget is tight, my suggestion would be Kustom KPC series speakers with Eminence HF drivers. I'm going to be using a 4-set of the KPC12MP's for monitors with the Eminence ASD10001 HF drivers.
  10. Sound alone? You're looking at a good portion of that going towards a decent quality mixer. What exactly are you guys looking for?
  11. I swore it looked like you sold something else besides pens at first glance...
  12. Well, definitely made a difference. I got about 290 miles on a tank this fill up, maybe see if it was just a bad tank. I'll take a look at the codes tomorrow & see if there's anything about a PCV valve. Done the plugs & wires about this time last year, and the air filter's fine...been wanting a CAI but don't have the cash to do it, or the poor man's CAI... I love the sound of my 3.8 on the stock exhaust. Has that low roar without being loud & annoying. Just gotta find me some chrome tips to put on mine.
  13. Dish out a couple more $20's & get the ZRS-C9 from Cadence. Bit more power output & it's a very nice sturdy metal enclosure. 100x4 at 4 ohms, and it will take a beating, great CS. If I had to, I'd go with the CO600.4 though, have the 2 channel my friend gave me and it took a beating.
  14. For the box itself, some sort of wood glue would work, but get good stuff. I used Elmers Wood Glue on my box, and it kinda...fell apart...literally. I've heard Gorilla Glue works, which I may try next. As for holding the box together, screws is usually the way to go (I did mine with brads, but we didn't have screws at the time.. ) As for mounting, as told with lighter subs screws usually work fine as long as you have enough of a baffle to support them.
  15. Bump. Make me cash offers! If you know how to recone, these are a great way to get a great set of subs. Make me offers, I want these to go to someone who will make use of them, since I'm moving up.
  16. Looks more like a flip photo book than an animated picture.
  17. All talk & very little actual speaker play. Uninterested.
  18. I've heard good things about Mobile Tech, and thought about it long and hard, & decided it wasn't really worth throwing down the money. Everything I've learned about stereos I've learned on my own (with the help of the forums ) plus I can take the MECP test locally, so why bother? I'm already "gifted" in basic electronics knowledge, and I guarantee I know more than 95% of anyone that has had any involvement in stereos, including my own dad (and he's got a Master's in Engineering. ) If you want to go to school and learn every little tidbit of mobile electronics, go right ahead. Everyone's different, choose what you want.
  19. Yeah, everything but cone coil & suspension. Recones from AQ are $35 apiece + shipping.
  20. At most, I'll have FB, MYB, Youtube, SMD forum, & SMD chat up. Occasionally Hotmail and other little things I look up on the net. Never have more than 12-15 tabs open at any time.
  21. I never use IE except for other things... Meh, either way FF4 shouldn't be using 1.2+ mil.
  22. Mine was never this bad. Maybe 300k, but never 1.2mil. Shit's insane, and my laptop's cooling is shit anyways.
  23. Anyone else having this issue with Firefox 4? Fucking ridiculous. Only after 4 hours of use, and no porn was involved...(That's why I keep IE )
