  1. Well, story on this dog, she was a stray wandering around our apartment complex. She kept wandering & coming back, and they were predicting for some nasty storms one night, so we ended up taking her in just for the night. Turns out she's a sweetheart of a dog, she's real calm, listens to basic commands, and is just overall a good dog. We already had one dog though (my stepdad's British Springer Spaniel mix, but he's only about 6-8 months old.) We noticed Meg (the dog we took in) starting to get bigger, and finally ended up with the result that she was impregnated before we took her in. She kept getting bigger & bigger, until we woke up one day to her giving birth not to one, or two, but nine puppies. We were surprised, & didn't expect them all to live. But as you can see, they're growing perfectly fine. All 9 are still alive & active, and the mom's doing well. Nine puppies, one boy & 9 girls. Still trying to figure out what breed they may be. Any help appreciated. But anyways, enough about me, post pics/vids of your animals.
  2. Looks great by itself, just not a good match with the stock GP interior. x2 on the door speakers. Better yet, how do you have it mounted?
  3. Every med call here is run Code 3, unless otherwise specified by dispatch or whoever's on scene. Of course, that means I hear sirens going by at least 15-20 times a day, since I live about half a mile from Station 2...
  4. I have no idea what I'd need, but I have no idea if anyone's looking around here anyways. My chief just suggested it because I'm professional when I talk on the radios on calls, & I have a lot of technological knowledge.
  5. I've been thinking about getting a new set of rims. I love my stock rims, now that I've cleaned them up but I'm thinking about a nice cheap set of aftermarket rims, preferably 18's or 20's. What would you guys recommend? Remember, budget is tight. And pic of the car...
  6. Hm, most med units don't ask for run # & times here, at least over the radio. They only use the radios for dispatch, enroute, & arrivals.
  7. That's what I get for watching Doctor Who at 3AM.
  8. Sounds like you got it good. I've been told I should work at the dispatch center, and I'm thinking about it.
  9. Damn, not much has been going on. Rollover accident with two that refused treatment, that's about it. Yep. Public Safety usually speaks the same "dialect" with different codes, that's about the only thing. PD have certain codes, fire the same, and medical usually just talks in plain talk. Fixed.
  10. Okay, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. Looks like Sho-Me makes a flasher for this exact reason. Anyone else want to look over & help me confirm? http://able2products.com/pdfs/11_1005stt_instructions.pdf
  11. Not mine. I listen to that song daily in my car, so I can tolerate Weezy's voice more than hers. :yahoo:
  12. Lol. I LOVE listening to my scanner and listening to some of the calls. Entertains me very much Oh yeah, and just because I can. http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?feedId=4555 Our FD is Station 97, East Fork.
  13. I'm 18 and still with my parents. Mainly because of the lack of work around here. If I had a good paying job, it would be a different story...If you feel like you can be on your own, then do it. Dunno how the divorce would go for you, but I was caught in the middle of my parents. Luckily it was a friendly divorce, mom moved out and they still are friends, go out and hang out and everything, even though my mom remarried. I moved in with her mainly because me & my dad have personality conflicts, but me and him still hang out & get along.
  14. Meh, 95% of the med calls here are for chest pains, literally. That's it. 4% are for wrecks/fights & the other 1% are Code 200 (fatality) I feel worse for the sheriff's. The other night, I heard one get dispatched to help a drunk kid find his stolen ATV (it was stolen at the grounds he was riding it with...) Told the dispatcher he was driving his Jimmy around trying to find it, and they told him to stop. He called back and told them he found his ATV and didn't need a sheriff. In return, the dispatcher cancelled him for the stolen ATV & instead sent two sheriff's for a DUI... As I always say, You can't fix stupid, legally or illegally. Still waiting on our first call for the FD. Noone's been dispatched yet, but I have a feeling it will be us and another department on another 9am fire alarm that ends up being burnt toast...
  15. i liked this one Personally, she killed it, literally. It's like Kesha & Nicki Minaj had a baby together... Only Busta can rhyme like that and make it sound good. Okay, not just Busta, there's a couple others, but he kills this song (in a good way). Just my honest opinion though. Couldn't even listen to 60 seconds without shutting it off.
  16. Okay, this may get confusing. Basically, my car has two 194 bulbs for the center brake light. What I'm wanting to do is create a relay that allows normal brake light functions, but if power comes in from another source, it switches to a separate power input I.E. from an LED flasher. I'm mainly wanting to do this as a little DIY project, and also for the fire department, just figured it would look cool. My alternate plan is to just drill in another set of 194 bulb holders and just directly wire those to the flasher, but they won't be visible if the brakes aren't on... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  17. Don't have to tell me twice. I plan to finally do some deadener to the lid & rear quarter panels soon.
  18. It's amazing what 60 minutes, a bottle of Simple Green, scrubbing brush, toothbrush & paper towels do to your rims, especially after a nice touchless power wash. Suggestions? Budget friendly preferred Next up is KY-legal tint, some touchup paint, & fiberglass to the front left part of the wing on the bumper.
  19. Looking for two Audiopipe AP1800.1D amplifiers, or any pair of 1500-2000w @ 1 ohm amplifiers, as well as a good working pair of AQ HDC3-Copper coil 12" subwoofers, and any sealed batteries, Kinetik, XS, etc. Would like price shipped to 41129, and possibly to 41102. Thanks in advance.
  20. Phoenix Gold Ti1200.1? 21. As long as you keep a clean signal and set your gains right, those subs should be okay. The subs are 400 watts RMS apiece, meaning 800 watts RMS to the pair, and if your amplifier does put out 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm, then you should be okay. It definitely would help if you posted up what model amplifier you have, to make sure there isn't a better solution.
  22. Let me try to rephrase this to something more understandable. The XPA4640 uses two type of inputs, high level (speaker wire) and low level (RCA) inputs. The best solution is to run RCA cables from your head unit to your amplifier, but some people don't have RCA outputs on their headunit because they are older or they are stock. In that case, you can directly run the wires from the speakers directly into the amplifier via the high-level inputs, in the same way that a Line Output converter converts the signal. If you don't have the plugs though, you're kind of in a bind, because I don't know anywhere you can get 5-pin plugs for the inputs. Maybe you can try asking your question again in a format that people will not kick you over a house to help us understand your (not as obvious) problem?
