There are different type of "Multi touch" Screens. The ones that apple uses can support up to 11 finger points at a time i believe. Dont quote me on it. The nexus/droid/mytouch are all "Dual touch" 2 finger points of access. Everybody is going to have their own experience with their cellphone. I have not had any problems Multitasking or having crash's caused by the nexus one. Its usually the app's are are buggy. Since this has 512 ram (395 ram JUST for apps/UI when you are rooted and have a custom rom). Ive gone through and opened ALL my applications at the same time, did not even notice. Nexus one multi touch goes as car as pinch zoom. Thats it..

So! We have lots of new phone stuff out now! A lot of it is very interesting but confusing to some people. Google is new in the world with their operating system "Android". When you hear "android based phone", its just like saying windows xp. The Android OS is FULLY Open source, meaning that.. well me or you could design something for it and it would be widely acceptable. There is KINDA 2 different versions of the Android Operating system. If any if you are familiar with the Hero from Sprint, this runs a Android OS called "Sense". It is more of a Widget based interface than a Icon based interface. It is very interactive and looks very clean. The other one, if you are familiar with the Droid/nexus one/ Mytouch 3g runs just different versions of the icon based interface of android. Now, how do you tell which phone is right for you? Do i get a Iphone or do i get a Droid/nexus one? This is going to vary from person to person. Iphone 3gs is a 600mhz processor with 256 megs of ram. No removable battery or SD card slot. It has a FULLY multi touch screen unlike the droid or nexus one. Lots of apps and VERY VERY EASY TO USE. It is the perfect phone for somebody who just wants a phone. Despite the 600mhz processor and the lack of ram. It is incredibly smooth. Big downfall is the camera and the MMS convo. I see a lot of postings about the droid on here and almost nothing about the nexus one! Droid = 550mhz processor and 256 ram Nexus one = 1ghz 512 megs of ram Droids are Incredible phones! When you root them, you can pass up the 1.2 ghz mark making them SUPER fast. It has a lot of power and runs Android 2.0 (which you dont have to stick with if you can root/flash roms) 5MP camera w/flash is a HUGE plus! For the price NOW, it is totally worth it, you wont be sad if you got this. Nexus one's are VERY scarce right now due to the viability of service plans, but it is simply incredible. If i show my phone to somebody, people usually say.. wow this thing is faster than my god damn computer. And indeed it is... On a wifi connection, this thing FLYS, 3g is still very fast also. 5MP camera and 1ghz processor! Awesome.. Rooting your phone aside from jailbreaking (root = android , Jailbreaking = Iphone) I dont know a lot about what Jailbreaking offers to the Iphone, if somebody would like to fill this in for me. Rooting your android based phone will allow you to do even more to this fully customizable phone. You can control CPU Speeds for situations. Example, you put the phone on standby and the phone underclocks its self to a lower speed to save battery. Of course there is also Wireless tethering and Wired USB tethering. Change of boot animations, and the BEST THING OF ALL! Flashing different roms. On my nexus one, i already have the "Desire Sense UI" That is not even released yet. I think they might of released the phone in europe in the past few days, but shit.. we had it like 3 weeks ago. If you own a Android based phone, there is a custom rom for it somewhere with TONS of new features and faster operating system. I wont mind helping you root your droid or nexus one. I have not done many other phones and i feel fully comfortable doing these 2. Takes about 30 min, just call me up 916-527-4057.
