box may be a lil big for that much power, looks great though i did 2 xls sub an port up and it pounded hard. imo sub up port back is way louder though . im posted

you will get that smell with a new sub as it heat cycles. what your smelling is the oil and glues on the coil this is normal. now if it gets stronger back off the volume and put your hand on the dustcap if its hot you are clipping it bad. if its warm thats ok but be careful. what you feeling is the heat from the voicecoil

lol yea 4 and i want more i look at it like this if your not clipping the heck out of your amp and arent getting any smell from your sub. then stick with that amp if your happy with the output of it. i heard 1 audiopipe on 2 18xls get loud so they are decent in my opinion

i use to believe you get what you pay for npw im not so sure anymore case in point i have 2 DD m4s these amps put out 3500w at 11.9v and i paid over $2500 for them well i took them to my amp guy to get looked at (modded) and the boards and components are very similar to hifonics which i can get for about 300 a piece. my amps will do .25 ohms yes but is that worth all the extra money? no. if your audiopipes work for you use them. if you want more power step up to the next line.pretty much all amps are made in china korea or japan, some in brazil etc so there is not a seperate build house for every amp they are built in same houses and use same materials

do aq 3500s then at 750 a piece you cant beat it. 6 of those on 12 15s wow mite even do the lvl4s and save some money or step up to 16v and do xls

subsonic should be at least 5 hz below tuning this is important cause you can damage or blow sub ive done it. set low pass between 60 to 80 whichever you prefer if you must use your bass knob like i do turn it all the way up and your gains all the way down and bass boost on amp down . get a song you know turn your head unit up 3/4 volume then turn gain up slowly till you see clip light blink. this way is if you dont use scope or dmm

12 xl 18s on 4 ab 1100s three speakers per amp so thats 3k + a speaker 10 to 15 xs 3100s and at least 2 270 amp or bigger alts or as many as you can fit, plus 8 to 10 runs of 0g tuned to 35hz i run the xls and think they are the best all around sub i havent heard the neos or level 6 but for reliability id stick withth xl cause its proven and if you cant fit 18s then go 15s but 18s would be the shit

yea thats fine i just grabbed ign wire up front then ran a speaker wire to my back batterys and hooked up pos and neg on the battery (same as the amp) then use a dmm and get voltage in the back and adjust meter in the front to match

chode if you dont mind me askn what ohm load are your lvl 5s d2s? and how do you have you amps wired? do you have them strapped? im changeing my DD set up mite try unstrapping them just curious what you tried and what worked better for you.

just one alternator it will go up and down on me. i leave it in adjust mode with the light blinking cause when i lock the setting in it stilldoes it and not when i have a load on it pretty much at different speeds never above 2 k or so rpm. and i dnt know what stock regulator is at. with vcm off the highest reading i got was 14.5

the 4 pin oval and they just have 1 wire going to sense wire they are irragis just like on steve use to run. dom said they have to have 12v to the post to turn on. anyways heres my dilema now i can adjust it most of the time but it changes voltage on me why doesnt it hold the voltage i set it at./ plus sometimes it wont let me increase the voltage say from 14.8 to 15.1 or2 why?

for 4k? go with a 3100 or 3400 in the back at least and id go with 2, and a couple runs of 0g. im putting 5 more runs in to make it 10 runs total. i have a 220 a irragi 1 2400 13400 23100s 5 runs of 0g and a vcm and will drop into the 11s on 7k

depends on box electrical alot of factors. i have 2k on mine but can get them smelly in seconds if i clip at all. its best to have the beeffiest electrical possible to keep youer voltage up then tune with a scope
