  1. Trying to get these out for production Working hard!
  2. Its on the agenda Not sure if the 18" hole will tune us "right" so we may have to make a 15" hole plate!
  3. With either another sub or the hole "restricted" the peak score goes down. We put a port plate over the hole - which brought the peak frequency and score down quite a bit.
  4. *laughs* I think it is a combination of factors as well... the port goes back against the wall and only has the port width distance from the port to the wall - so it kind of creates an ABC box of sorts. I don't think it would work so well with JUST a giant hole, but I think the way the port is aligned creates more of a dual tuning. Maybe we will test it with giant hole alone as well just for kicks with another test box we have, although, I don't think that will work so well
  5. We might drop the Monster sub in the 15" hole side and see what happens Maybe make different sized "hole" plates. Could be fun! ... sometimes we have too much fun around here!
  6. It was doing right around 140 dB at 22 Hz. The box is tuned in the low 20s - so the port seems to be acting here, and then at a higher frequency we assume that the port is being bypassed in large part and the "hole" is acting like the port at that point
  7. Thats it Just the one 18" and a ported box with a sub hole in it on a 3000D @ 1/2 ohm*laughs* We found it has a sort of dual tuning... peaks pretty good around 22 hz then again at 59 Hz (peak score at 59 Hz).
  8. This is, of course, Brandon's Bronco. We had a sub that UPS broke the basket lip off on it... so we drilled extra holes in the basket and mounted it down anyway to mess around with it.
  9. Yes... that is a big hole in the box. Yes... it did 148.3 dB SAZ-3000D @ 1/2 ohm. Nightshade 18" / 5 spiders / D1 Long Coil.
  10. Its a good combination.
  11. Delivery time will be the same either way. There will be no power difference. We upgraded the power supply in the C revision, but this was more for long-term reliability* than anything as power output was, at best, marginally increased - I expect people to be using these years from now The difference for the D revision is the MASSIVE crossover update. * - There were no problems with amps with the 50-amp FETs, but I am a fan of over-building things.

Thats how I control all four SAZ-1500Ds in my Jeep Y-Splitter to both master amps and there you have it!

    Absolutely.
  14. There is a good reason Chris is our official repair man - his work is TOP notch.
  15. We are working on something I'll bring out the 2000D and see how it does for you as well.
  16. My latest ETA is the 21st of next month - roughly as predicted.
  17. More pics on caraudio.com http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.p...2146&page=6
  18. I don't have any used ones right now, but db-r should have one or two 1500D refurbs right now.
  19. The SAE-1200D is a good option - they are on intro sale for $350 right now at any authorized dealer and very easily exceed their rated power
  20. Lows 0.4s Qts (sealed or ported) Fs under 30 Hz on the 15 It's a daily sub with a wide bandwidth.
