  1. New 2012 Model Amps will start to roll out in May this year. We will be out of stock of almost all amplifiers until that time. We apologize for the period of no stock on the amplifiers but this is necessary to further increase the quality and performance of our products. We expected amplifier stock to hold out until May but record sales have made that impossible so we do appreciate all of our dealers and customers and their continued support. Stay tuned for information coming soon on the new 2012 models! Specifics : * SAX-125.2 still in stock * Final shipment of 2500s / 3500s due in about 30 days * Stocking dealers like WoofersEtc.com will still have some amps for a while if you need one!
  2. The SAZ line won't get that large -- the NS line will hold bigger models... the NS line will eventually have 3 models.
  3. I have no ETA on the components yet.
  4. wow no way, I have a pair in a 34Hz tuned box, the box was made for the copper coil cone. Does the SPL coil change the sub enough to make a re-cone or re-tune necessary? btw Thanks for that info Jacob The SPL coil is about half the mass -- so it raises FS a good bit.
  5. We've been SO busy that I still don't have my SPL 8s in here... but today I made some time... took the 16v stuff out, put a big 12v in back, and dropped an NS-1 in there. No testing today... just a picture of the NS-1 : Once the v.2 subs arrives I will drop in four of the "SPL" versions with CCAW coils and then later I will also build four customized with an extra spider to compare as well to see what does best for this car. So... stay tuned for that. I will get some NS-1 testing on the stock subs sometime soon, though.
  6. Some info will appear shortly in the next week or two on the first two models that will be made for the new 2012 series!
  7. They have an SPL coil -- and they came from Team Nemesis Robert's Excursion -- he made his own stickers for that sais SA-12X
  8. 22 is a bit high for a daily system Closer to 12-16 for daily. We have used 28 for SPL but I wouldn't go so high daily.
  9. 22 is a bit high for a daily system Closer to 12-16 for daily. We have used 28 for SPL but I wouldn't go so high daily.
  10. We were clamping ~7200 on the low 12s in Derrick's Explorer on the prototypes... our Russian guys clamped ~10k on a fairly weak 16v bank on the prototypes. As they JUST came in Friday I don't have any production clamps yet -- but the guys in Russia got theirs a few weeks earlier and they tell me they turned out a wee bit stronger than the prototypes (which I expected). One thing is for sure... they are VERY efficient... we did music testing in Derrick's explorer and the voltage drop at the same SPL was much less than with 3500s.
  11. I am =) I will have four in my CRX for SPL. ... but I already have one in my VW Golf for daily =)
  12. The SD-2 line has been pretty successful but most of the buyers are not big on the forums and/or they are on more niche forums like a pickup truck forum.
  13. First two getting installed today @ the shop :
  14. If you had 500-watts each I'd say it's fine -- IMO it's a hair big for 750 each "wide open" If you simply kept your eye out for the subs to reach mechanical limits then it's still going to be fine @ 750.
  15. The SAE-1200D and SAE-1200D v.2 were very powerful amps... easily could have been called 1500-watts as they clamped in the 1700s. They were Chinese made amps. The SAX-1200D is Korean made and MUCH smaller in size but still clamps in the 1500s. Due to being made in Korea it cost more. Reliability is better.
  16. Cool -- glad that kit is working out for you =)
  17. Again... these are all sold and accounted for. Watch out for next pre-order soon. Should be much faster this time as our rectifiers are in stock now. We'll be testing them and shipping next week.

Well I guess ill start off by saying..... Thumbs up Jacob on another HomeRUN id say. Just when we was all too believe SA was arguably the best bang for the buck sub out there....you come out with something that trumps it in price, and in my eyes....doesnt lose hardly any of the great qualities that we all loved about the SA. So when you pull it out of its packaging youre thinking, Hmmm...not much ass too it:icon_smile:..... My expectations was for it too be like most other subs in that lower rms range....like no matter what it should sound weak on low end, and mostly hollow when trying too put in a decent size ported box. Boy was i wrong. The first thing i noticed was the lowend.....JEBUS.....i mean it slaps you in the face when youre not expecting it.......its so unexpected from a sub in its range and cost point. It really sounds like a big boy woofer, lol, whatever that means, sounds so full and deep in all ranges. I had it in my daily challenge box(4.5cu@32hz) which some might think on the big side but it just works....and this sub thrived in it when i had low power on it.....prolly coulda been a lil smaller for peak SPL...but for daily i liked it I couldnt find a weak spot on it.....everything i played it just did it well.....BME CLick, Bass Ballin, Billie Jean, Beamer Benz(too name the Bs, lol)...Billie Jean was prolly my fav performance of the sub....just plays that bass line so smooth, every tone in its place where it should be....ear sex Even after numerous full tilt burps(3500 @ 1ohm) it still showed no signs of fatigue....just smiled and said....Welll? Im rambling here....so ill just say.....for the price, i find this damn near unbeatable for a daily driver.....price, performance, quality, just all exceeds expectations. Thanks again Jacob for this sub :hello::thumbsup:
  19. Box suggestions remain the same. The v.2 units are more forgiving of a bigger than suggested box, though.
  20. The amps are on the final truck to us and are in Charlotte this morning. Assuming nobody drops the ball big time we should have them today. Being that they must ALL be tested I am not sure how many if any will ship out today but I'll have tons of pictures at least when they come in and we start testing =) These are ALL sold already -- just an update for those that ordered them.
  21. Cutting it close... as we expect them the ~20th -- but stay tuned.
  22. We have a "stock SPL coil" option that is not too far off of what we used here... I have 200 coming in this way in D2 and D4 CCAW coils (For the D1 we had to have it made with 8-layer flat aluminum wire as round wire was too fat for the gap). MMS will be very similar to Sean's woofer but with a bit less stiffness as they have the separated spiders rather than the permanently bonded pack of 2 spiders. They cost the same as a stock copper unit. I can also build units to match Sean's as I am having 100 motors and baskets sent as well for just such an occasion! Units that we build will of course cost a bit more -- it would be mandatory to get a D1 for us to build it as they are American coils -- or for more or even fewer spiders (two is stock).
