  1. Yep. It takes alot of effort to sift through them too... and honestly I am SO busy right now I can't do it. I appreciate all of my hard working Team competitors.
  2. Okay guys -- Team is full for 2010. Please do not email me about Team inquiries until 2011 -- this means not until January! Our Team is strong this year and I cannot handle the 100+ Team inquiries a week any more this year. Any Team or "sponsorship" inquiry e-mails will be deleted. Sorry for the inconvenience but my Inbox gets 100+ e-mails reading "sponsorship" every week.
  3. You would need to look at your purchase invoice to see if it's under warranty. You may want to make sure your ground is good.
  4. Some initial testing done -- very very similar to the v.1 SAZ-1500D model. I think we can squeeze a bit more out of it before production so I'll get some revisions done and then post some real numbers up
  5. As with all the other SAX multi-channels the part # power figure is the 4 ohm per channel rating.
  6. This is the prototype - ETA not set for production units.
  7. Yep... you read that correctly. Big bad boy 200x4 Class A/B amps with full SAX-100.4D style crossovers. Stable to 1 ohm stereo / 2 ohms bridged... can power a whole system. These things are MASSIVE... I know the trend is for small amps but I like big amps, and so do alot of people still These are not made for typical daily installs... they are made for BIG builds! * It is actually larger than an SAZ-3500D. * Another shot vs. SAZ-3500D ----- Before anyone asks... there is no ETA, I don't know when I'm going to open a pre-order, and pricing is not 100% set. I do expect pricing to be about like the SAZ-2000D, though... give or take.
  8. Testing coming later... change a tad from the initial layout. We ended up with 8x IRFP360LC output FETs -- 66% of what the SAZ-3000D / 2500D have. This output section is WAY stronger than the 1500D v.1 what features IRF640 / 9640 units. Power supply features the same number of FETs as the original 1500D but a new more powerful part like the SAZ-2500D has. Power supply transformers and output inductors not changed from the v.1 1500D -- overall size down about 1.6" * Old 1500D on top and new 1500D v.2 on bottom * Internal fuses removed for SPL competition purposes - customers will need an external ANL unit * New driver board * Old driver board ----- Testing coming soon
  9. Yes. --- Also a bit of a side note... the Jeep may end up walled. I need to sell a few of my other vehicles so the wall build may shift to the Jeep.
  10. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/82278-i-need-blbl-curve-explained/page__view__findpost__p__1146395 Figured I'd share on my forums as I decided to take some time and make a fairly informative post this morning.
  11. Out of the gate on music at 154.6 dB Congrats Richard Willoughby on your accomplishment ! I emailed him to get some photos as well This is a dash score.
  12. Hank did not receive a single piece of free equipment, FYI.
  13. Indeed. No plans for an 18" model at all. Some information on the 15s has been posted : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/63712-prototype-sa-15-excursion-video/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/52171-sa-10-and-sa-15-factory-pictures/ I burped ~4200 watts on one for 150.1 dB in my "Magic Box" -- the box has WAY too much port for a lower motor force driver but the SA-15 survived the power and still broke 150 anyway
  14. Dual purpose video - we floated this bag all over the port AND did a hair trick with all the doors closed. This truck is BRUTAL... still at 17v at the end of the video, it's very efficient.
  15. Yep - it's crazy loud I've been in quite a few loud systems - this one feels louder than even the 156+ score.
  16. All the videos so far : * First firing it up. * Second song after firing it up. * Frequency sweep on the TL. * 30 Hz burp - 156.7 dB * Power clamping : 910 watts per amp x 12 = 10,920 watts for 156+ dB @ 30 Hz. We calculated impedance rise to be 3.5 ohms -- also currently we are using 18 Y-Splitters to get the signal to the amps so RCA voltage is really low (line driver not working right now). Hank plans to do more testing with a line driver soon when it gets fixed.
  17. Burp - was a bit louder with 156.7 dB ----- Clamping power: 910 watts per amp x 12 = 10,920 watts for 156+ dB @ 30 Hz. We calculated impedance rise to be 3.5 ohms -- also currently we are using 18 Y-Splitters to get the signal to the amps so RCA voltage is really low (line driver not working right now). Hank plans to do more testing with a line driver soon when it gets fixed.
  18. We got the batteries up to 17.8 volts and got sick of waiting so we did a sweep : Peaks at 30 Hz !
  19. Also... based on the specs available on the AA site (assuming that the BL is with coils in series) the Z v.2 with copper coil has about 75% more motor force factor (BL^2/RE) -- so they are quite different woofers in design principle. Z v.2 motor force factor is not as high as the Mayhem from AA, nor is the suspension as stiff -- so it's a bit in between the Havoc and the Mayhem overall spec-wise.
  20. Also -- the Z v.2 was updated a bit with a copper 4-layer bifilar coil for a bit lower FS and about 12% more BL^2/RE In my testing there was no loss in SPL at typical end-user levels from the additional mass but I gained 0.3 dB above 6000 watts on burps. More durable coil as well... lower expansion ratio of copper in the tight gap helps as well.
  21. Batteries are charging and we will do some metering once they are full. We don't expect optimum results as there are 18 sets of Y-Splitters involved -- bet the head unit is hating life Once Hank gets home he is going to use a Maxx-Link at least for a while until he figures out whats wrong with his line driver unit.
  22. Second video. Kind of short - the beats at the start of the song are likely in the 20s... dome light was moving 10x more than the subs.
