  1. yeah well he usually buys the stuff before talking to me. i think he did pretty decent on the 12's though. he bought two ssd 12's 4 ohm dvc. ill probably try to post some pics tomorrow. btw the amp had trouble trying to blow two sony 6 1/2s
  2. my buddy just bought a pyramid america 5000 watt amp.i was wondering about how many watts we would probably get out of it, im guessing about 1000 watts max. also i was wondering if anybody knows about how long a pyramid amp will last http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-PB3818-Channel-Bridgeable-Amplifier/dp/B004M9A0M8/ref=sr_1_28?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1302053479&sr=1-28
  3. ill have some pics soon. oh one more question what kind of port area would i need for a 2 cube box
  4. well id probobly get shit for it being my first build or something or beacause im using cheap kenwood highs but expensive crescendo and deathpenalty lows. as for the box defiantly lol but dont really care a bass head will just shake it off
  5. sounds like a good idea i mean people do it all the time with 6x9's
  6. lol yeah. and allright i almost forgot about the displacement of the bracing. my build is a way off but imm looking at a death penalty 21
  7. yeah thats all im looking for. something to mess around with till i can get my real build going
  8. i got lots of hardwood scrap laying around. so bracing isnt a problem You'll still wanna seal it with resin though cause particle board is pretty porous. What are you trying to run on how much power? just a shitty lil bazooka 12 on like 400 watts. its not a really big box just 2 cubes ported
  9. i got lots of hardwood scrap laying around. so bracing isnt a problem
  10. yeah its just gonna be a fuckaround box so i was figuring lots of bracing glue and screws
  11. can i make somekind of sub box from some interior wall 5/8" partcleboard.. i got some scrap wood and i think anybox would be better than the one i have now
  12. the only thing that kinda makes it seem fake is the video recording random stuff other than that it seems real
  13. good luck with it. cant wait to see what you do with it if you buy it
  14. 8 or 9k sounds pretty reasonable.if you look at it a 454 crate motor is 6 grand or more. and the body is worth a few grand . so i would say buy it if it runs
  15. well my dad drives his elcamino every weekend. he jams with his little 8inch the whole time too lol.
  16. well it would be nice but i got a feeling id have to buy my dads truck or elcamino.
  17. ah awesome. next time me and my dad run across something that stumps us ill have to hit you up if you dont mind. but its a good trade to learn always very useful
  18. very nice. so you guys have alot of experience with cars i take it
  19. yup with older cars there's always something to do. and that's why their so good for hobbies besides the reward of people asking about them and wanting to check them out
  20. hmm i bet that thing will haul. the motor in the el camino is about 400 hp and its linked up to a 3 speed auto and we've got it up like 140 if i recall right. so you could probably hit like 160-180 top speed.
  21. what do those older chevelles usually run about. i know the 71 model like my dads el camino was about 15 grand
  22. my dad paid 8000 for the elcamino pictured above. its a 1971 ss model with a 383 stroker v8. as for the stuff like the discs in the front and the drums in the back thats all stock. btw whats in that car a 454?
  23. hell id drop more than that on my first install. im going with the second biggest woofer in the industry
