Hmm all right thanks. I might just check some local places out and see if they can get some in a black finish. I think the black chrome finish your talking about is usually called gunmetal.

Got the GMOS-04 yesterday at best buy just like you said. Hooked it up, got no noise from the speakers. You think it would be easy since its just fucking RCA's but nope, no noise at all. I go and try to exchange the unit, but since I cut wires, they wont exchange it or refund me, so another 100 dollars on trying to get this headunit work out the fucking window. Really really fucking frustrated right now. Local audio shop gave me a quote to install it, 400 fucking dollars. The best buy person told me one reason for not getting any noise at all would be bad grounds, but I used factory grounds, anyone have some experience with this?

Hooking up subs, I have 2 amps. I also have one 18 foot RCA and one 3 foot rca, so hopefully I can just link them and run the master up to the sw output on the headunit.

Does anyone know if the gmos4 is the only harness kit available? Over at crutchfield all they have to say is shitty things about it.

Damn Stephen youve gotten my back a countless ammount of times. Thanks man, I owe you a couple. Also, I tried Best buy, circuit city, and 2 local audio places. The local audio places said they were out of stock, best buy said no, and circuit city's phone was always busy.

EDIT: If anyone can help me out here again and find me on ebay or some other website a mounting kit and also a wiring kit I would appreciate it. I have had no luck at all, cant bring anything up.

Yeah funny isnt it? Im guessing they have them in stock, just would rather me take the car in and have them charge me 250 to install it themselves. No thanks. Whats even funnier is my previous car was a 07 Yukon, so the harness kit would of worked, except 07's when they revamped everything.

Yeap finally got it out, and the kicker is no one in town has a mounting kit and a harness/wire kit for the 03-06 Escalade.

Got the Escalade today, its a real nice car. I'm just curious on how the fuck to even install my head unit in it though. The dash piece is one huge piece which stretches over the steering wheel. To even get access to the real head unit mounting bracket, you need to take the dash trim piece off, but the steering wheel is in the way. How can I get this done, I really am hoping I dont have to remove the steering wheel. Ok after checking it out a bit more its the shifter that is getting in the way. I even tried throwing it in neutral so the lever is down more and putting the parking brake on but it still doesnt have enough clearing to come out. I feel like a complete fucking idiot, someone help me out here.

Or couldnt I just link the amps? then I only need 1 long rca and another short rca.

If I'm running 2 seperate amps, would it be best to just get 2 seperate 2 channel RCA's and run them to the head unit? Or could I just get one 4 channel RCA and run that instead? I also linking the amps if thats relevant to anything. Another thing, where the fuck do I even plug the RCAs in on the headunit? On my w205 I only see one SW set, a Rear and a Front set, don't tell me I have to buy another alpine accessory to hook these amps up. Pretty new to this, so help me out here. Thanks.

It is a deal, I hope I'm not jacking this thread, but I'm just trying to get rid of it now, its just sitting here in my room in the original box collecting dust.
