Ok... So let me start this off by saying steve you've inspired me to be the best bass head I can be ever since I was a little kid my brother in law who was 20 and my brother who was 15 (4 years older than me) I've been listening to bass. Nothing real loud 2 12" L7's in a old ass bmw was the best. Then I thought kicker was the best and stumbled upon this forum around my 19 year old christmas (never registered until recently.) and was told to switch from the L5 15" to the 15" SSD Fi and boy was it the best choice I ever made ever since then I got into underground or (non mainstream) companies (DC, Fi, AA etc.) and learned about enclosured, wiring, subwoofers, amplifiers. In two years I knew more than anyone in my town about systems. I've made money off them by installing ive made friends bump for cheap by helping and its just all around been a life altering experience... Well let me cut the sob story. I now have an 18" PSI and a custom enclosure I built nothing snazzy but soon I'm doing 3 18's in a wall and I will be seeing Exo at the sanford sounds bass if hes there to show him. I've come a long way and I want to hear the best, i've watched probably all your videos and hooked every basshead I know in my town on your videos. Your videos do no justice eh? Well me and about 6 of my buddies (brother etc.) all the big bassheads around here (Fryeburg, Maine) and we wanted to rent a room in vegas for 2 nights, and I want to hear as many of the systems as I can, Justins, yours ANY of the good ol boys. Were all chipping together were doing this STRICKLY to hear your systems if thats not dedication and passion I dont know what is... So what do you say Steve? would that be ok is a demo in order? this would probably be the #1 biggest thing that'll happen in my life, sad or not lol I love this damn hobby, and i'd love to hear your system man, thanks for hearing me out and reading this.

It doesn't help that tomohawks take almost NO skill there was a machinima video of "bloopers" that show this complete noob just throwing tomohawks and killing people from accross the map yeah im sure theres "some" skill but you cant say that helicopter shot was planned heh.

I never thought of that, maybe the subwoofers dont like lows I mean its only a 10" P1 lol I'd suggest tuning higher and sticking with it 35hz is your baby.

COD is washed out after COD4 the game went downhill... I wouldn't even consider playing professionally that video just shows how washed up and easy the game is. Professional , COD , Console should NEVER be in the same sentence want a real competitive game grab Counter-Strike. No ragging I love COD its fun to mess around in but its incredibly easy and at the same time all the same, camp / luck shot / run n gun, not only that perks make the game unbalanced. You can see half the kills in that video were retarded luck.

1/10th of the amp gain doesnt sound like clipping to me or even over-powering, probably box and playing way below tuning with voltage drop. What type of HU are you using? 4v preouts or lower? Having your headunit too high with bad preouts CAN cause clipping there so many different variables but chances are its clipping + enclosure + too low of tuning.

Are the subwoofers new? a new woofer lets off a sweet glue smell from the coils enamel coating thinning which is fine. If it's a burnt electric smell or a nasty smell its probably coil heating up. If its just on low notes chances are your electrical cannot keep up (might NOT be the gain.) Lower notes can cause electrical to drop a lot more rapid due to rise and many other factors, also not setting subsonic and playing below tuning can cause this. For now turn your gains down should fix it, i'd suggest making a box a little higher (35hz is the sweet spot) and playing less intensive lows (until you oscope your gain and get better electrical.) IF not you'll blow your subwoofer. Lows are NO joke clipping or over-powering CAN take time to blow but pushing woofers on a low note can tear a spider or surround or warp the coil, its bad news bears.

Also dont mind the red tape haha thats holding the light lense there :-p in my newer videos it completely fell off and was hanging by the electrical wires.

Nah, 1500RMS = 104amps x2 = 208amps + mids/highs amplifier (maybe be like 400rms? 20-30amps_ so thats 238amps + the 60-90amps to run the vehicle thats just about 300amps total and since he has 2 runs of 0/1 that means hes perfectly fine if anything his electrical is overkill.

Well I'm looking like $140 for 2 used pairs if anyones got any, or something that can do about 100rms @ 4ohms.

I can;t imagine who would run speakers that are 250RMS @ 4ohms each dayem.

The Fi Q is going to have better SQ hands down but a LVL 4 will get louder, personally if you're SPL oriented get the XL or go with the Q for the price.

come on man thats a perfect looking box but I need to know port width lol cause im not getting no 36hz more like 30hz cause the box isnt deep enough for a 9" port to get 36hz

whats the width? I'm im assuming thats port to the left side of the box? Do you think the depth of the box will be enough for these woofers? I know my 18" is 9" deep im assuming these 12's are probably like 7-8" So i'm hoping they'll fit.

I just managed to get my friend two new Kicker CVR 12's @ $50 and a Memphis 250.1 (does about 400 rated @ 2ohm) so these things will be seeing about HALF power, I'm not looking for anything low anywhere between 35-40hz is fine. Problem is the truck is an OLD Chevrolet and the dimensions are small: 48w x 15h x 9 top depth x 12 bottom depth (that'll put it behind his seat PERFECT, ONLY way to do it :-/) I tried doing a box in the calculator to no avail I need help BADLY. It CAN be sealed that's not a problem but if ported is doable that'd be preferable. He ran a 10" XPLOD off some random 2 channel sealed and hit decent, I figured hed be happy eigther way since this will be a lot louder. I just need to be able to fit them behind his small ass seat. I could use Aero flares as well if needed and point them up towards the roof or to the side.

I know they're CVR's you seriously think im going to use them? lol They're for a friend and they're brand new only $70 for the pair kid literally bought them had a slapping sound and gave me them for hella cheap. I figured why not, We held the tinsel leads while it freeaired and it still slapped so I dont think its that, I moved it up and down and didnt notice ANY spider problems... Ugh pain in my ass. Yeah I need AA Carbon Fibers, 6.5's preferably. I've seen them used online for $70 a pair so something in that area would work, whats the RMS on these by the way? I'm looking for like anywhere between 75-100RMS. Also anyone know the mounting depth on them? thanks.

I've got a perfect condition Kicker KX600.4 that does 150RMS x 4 @ 2ohm lmk.

I like the direction, but they both are way off beat and they need to rap slower cause half the stuff you can't even understand cause they're honestly not that great at speed rapping.

To break it down... 400RMS means nothing if you have more strain on your electrical, If you were getting say 14.4v before thats rated on the amplifier so it'll do a full 1700, you then throw another one on and say it drops to 12v now both amps are doing under-rated meaning both are probably losing that 200-400rms, so in turn you'll lose power throw in impedence rise from the amp increase and youll be stuck right where you were, my advice drop the ohm load get better electrical and youll notice a huge differenc.e
