I guess its just how you look at it or how you use credit I had a friend who made ok money but blew out his transmission and didnt have 2500$ on hand and needed his car to get to work and pay bills He used credit card got it payed for and payed off in a few months

Colin made some good points but i disagree with some of them cash is ok but can be lost or stolen of if you want to make big purchases. I myself never carry cash i use my american express card for every thing and pay it at the end of the month and collect my points so i get free airplane tickes and hotels

Your credit rating number is not bs you have like a 1% chance of getting a loan or credit card under a 600 rating With a higher raiting it will just be easier to get loans and get the best rates My very first car my credit was shit my intrest rate was like 22% my next car was 16% and the car i have now is 7%

Also the more credit stuff you apply for your credit rating goes down

Just cause you have some credit doesnt mean you will be approved for every card every company has there own set of qualifcations

Credit cards are a good start or a secure credit card car loans are really good if you need a car

It also sucks cause the check engine light is off right now so they said i cant even take it in till it comes back on witch i random

She had a full blown tune up when i had the sensor replaced the first time wire, plugs,fuel filter ,trans brake and coolant all changed

About a month ago i had the check engine light come on but then it goes off. So i took it into the shop the o2 sensor code came up they replaced it i get my car back and bam its back on again. i call the shop they say it might be a faulty sensor so they put in a new one again and bam its back on again. Right before the light comes on i can tell cause the car starts to putter a lil bit like its not getting fuel. Just wanted to see if any one out there had some ideas on what else it could be its a 2006 ford explorer
