  1. I understand Rusty, I also been thinking about the cam and crank shaft sensors being a gremlin. But regardless The timing belt is getting done. The man I spoke to said something like at that many miles the timing belt is stretched out to much already.
  2. I did the water pump myself about three months ago. I talked to a co workers husband and he said for me ro get parts and he will do work for $150.
  3. just seeing how I have had the car for 8 years and never did timing belt is pointing at that alot and thankfully it hasn't busted on me. If it's not one thing it's another...
  4. Thanks guys I been working on the audio side of things on my car even got a 240amp mechman alt recently, last thing I want is to mess up the engine.
  5. The more I'm looking into it the more I just want to park the car. seems like the symptoms are pointing at the timing belt.
  6. its $55 new with a new tension pulley, I want to attempt the change myself but afraid of EEFing something up if it might be timing belt.
  7. I have a 98 Hyundai accent 1.5 and over the past two weeks I started noticing that my car would idle a tiny bit longer when coming to stops and then my car would start idling rough to the point that it felt like car wants to stall out. alternator is good throttle position sensor new, throttle control module new. someone at work said timing belt could be issue. It idles very rough at start up and randomly at stops but while I'm driving car goes like nothing is wrong at all. The check engine light is not even on to say that a sensor is out or something to pull codes to see what is messed up. At idle it kind of sounds like it misfires a little bit here and there too. I hope you engine buffs can point me at where to look, can the throttle body itself be messed up I have cleaned it with throttle body cleaner from the inside too. Thanks for your help and advice.
  8. I use this http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Schumacher-75-20-10-2-Amps-speed-charge-automatic-battery-charger-engine-starter/_/N-2604?counter=1&filterByKeyWord=charger&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=58755_0_0_ It goes up into 15v for around five minutes the automatically drops between 13-14v until 100% then drops to 13.2 float charge until you disconnect charger. good luck.

  16. Do you mean to disable the factory alarm put the key in driver side door and turn it to the left twice to disable alarm? I'm thinking it would be cheaper getting something like this installed http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18470_Viper-350-Plus-P-N-3105V.html rather than going to dealership and getting charged more.
  17. Well its been a fun day, Happy to buy the family a Chrysler town and country used go to work and come home look it over some more and when I open the hood BLAM!!! an alarm goes off and on the dash it says something like alarm set or something like that. Well we did not get a alarm key fob at all and feel the banana fingers from car lot poking my eyes. Now I am left wondering if I get an aftermarket alarm installed will it disable the factory alarm which I would like to do. Or do I go to the dealership and have them have there way with me lol? Thanks for advise.
  18. I had a vacation in a unit over off by balinger Tx and it's amazing what a few hours distance can change. I can only imagine what the rest of the northern states go through every season.
