  1. ok just overlooked it in the manual but i got the "ground when armed" thats out the way does this sound ok for the backup battery trigger i went to the gray wire for the hood pin. or is there a better place to wire it. and what about the trigger for the tilt sensor where the best place to wire that
  2. ok i keep getting 2 different answers and im ready to get this done on the 530T window module some ppl keep telling me i have to use 2 relays. 1 for up and 1 for down. if not it will work but really slow and possibly burn the unit up others are saying you dont need relays thats what the unit is for. the directions for every alarm basically suck i want to get this done asap
  3. ok, i bypassed the vats system a while back but everytime i goto install the alarm i would run into weather problems and no garage. so here i am trying to get things done and have a few questions hooking up the tilt sensor and the backup battery. it wants wires connected to the "- instant trigger" and the "ground when armed" the book doesnt explain much since the alarm is for so many different vehicles. anyway which way to hook them up correctly
  4. really, really. weld it up, smooth it over, and paint it. and dont use a spray can
  5. giants looked amzing through the first 5 games is because all the teams sucked, except maybe dallas.
  6. you get the noise b/c of cheap products being used. what about power wire and rcas by the amps or the power from the radio by the rca's i only experianced noise when i used cheap products when i was young and broke. you know where my rca's and power are right now, right next to each other b/c the brain for my car and alternator are on the same side and im not going 10 feet out of my way for something thats not going to happen if you use quality products
  7. before second skin was a sponsor here want hushmatt the best hands down bandwagon monkeys
  8. i have a alpine d310 it does video while driving. just when i went to get a digital tv tuner for the car my friend said over 10mph the signal gets weak and craps out. he wouldnt sell me one b/c of that. when someone does this and test it out while driving then ill think about it i made a post here and got the same responces about the tuners made for cars not working over 10mph
  9. is this like the digital tv tuners made for cars that crap out after 10mph or does it get good signal
  10. went to the stereo shop today. they use 1/4 watt which isnt a problem for me and they do this stuff all day. anyway my boy grabbed the box and it was filled with resistors bagged up. he gives me a pack and says is that it. im like ya, had exactly 9.53 on the pack which i needed. he said how many, i said 1, so he opened it up and just gave me one. NO CHARGE FTW
  11. i know it doesnt have to be one. just radioshack had either really small or really big. and the 10k one that the guy swore would work didnt. i work right by a stereo shop so i'll hit them up tommorow.
  12. ok i need a 9.53k ohm resistor. 9.50 is what im shooting for. the radio shack doesnt have a big selection by me and im trying to get started on the alarm saturday. any suggestions. im drawing blank right now
  13. im just wanting to make sure, i know how to do all that, just the manual and several people keep saying it requires the bypass module. i didnt think it did though
  14. ok just a need to know. i have the viper 5900 finally getting around to install it. i keep seeing stuff were it says i need a bypass module for the remote start. its going in a 1995 cadillac fleetwood. chip is in the key now i just got done removing a viper alarm with remote start from a 1997 i think monte carlo same chip in the key, and all that was done for bypass was a resistor soldered to the white and purple vats wires. can i do that for mine or is the bypass module required
  15. you dont need a full run of 0 guage ground to the back. your just wasting wire and money
  16. my decision was based on knukoncepts wire Oxygen free COPPER $3.40 a foot or streetwires aluminum clad wire $7 a foot. its nice wire but nowhere near knukoncepts
  17. they put all my wire nicely wrapped into 1 small box. everytime i pick it up the box rips in another spot
  18. buy it directly from knukoncepts, they should be able to send it to you just cost a lil more i order 90ft of 0 and 50ft of 4 guage about 3 weeks ago...shit is heavy and extramly flexxxable
  19. my tire done the back in june leaving scraping the coast. except mine blew out doing 75mph on the interstate. it didnt damage anything except a small part of a inspection cover by the wheel opening
  20. maybe it has been asked before but why does rockford fosgate do 51ft of power wire for that roll. every other company does usually 25ft or 50ft why the extra foot
