  1. Well I myself just take out the seats, pull the panels off, unhook the carpet and run it that way. Im gonna be rerunning my wires later today and will take pictures to show you. But that's just my way of doing it because it's easy to take the seats out of my little ford.
  2. It's always smart to have as short a length as possible with power wire because the longer it is, the more diminished the signal is when it gets to the end. But also, this can be said for any wires (including RCAs). So, it's not necessarily a matter of one side or the other, it's more of a matter of shortest possible path.
  3. Sounds like pinching rather than interference. Make sure your brake pedal isnt pinching any wires. If you dont see anything, just go ahead and switch over the RCAs (I have my RCAs and remote running right up the middle of my car on two separate side of my center console and have no inference there). Only switch over your power if you plan on cutting off the excess you mentioned.
  4. XPA2100 50Wx2@4ohm 75Wx2@2ohm 150Wx1@4ohm 300W Max Cheap... Yes, I have it...
  5. Well, I get paid this Friday. Drop it in the bank, and get a hold of you.
  6. Did some more reading for my other sub. It's 4ohm as well. So it would either be 2ohm parallel or 8ohm series. So which would be better if the amp is rated at 4ohm?
  7. I'd like to know the same thing, except with vinyl.
  8. Mmkay, thanks for being honest rather than attempt to pull something out of your @$$.
  9. Thank you for find it btw. One more quick question. If I wire a 4ohm in parallel with a 2ohm, what would the rating be? Like, what's the rudimentary mathematical formula for calculating a parallel ohm rating. I know series is one rating plus another rating.
  10. Well mine dont got the fancy silver magnet cover, but yeah. How'd you find that page? I frequented RF's site for month after I got the sub and all I could ever find was the DVC model.
  11. I was wondering if anyone had specs for the older 12" RFP2SVC. The ones from when they still said PUNCH across the cone. I'd especially like to know the ohm rating.
  12. I know, I was gonna slap some temp over top or just go ghetto and lay some fiberglass insulation over the deadening them slap my carpet over that.
  13. Pioneer DEH-10MP HU (2) Sony Xplod 6.5 3-way (2) Sony Xplod 6x9 3-way 300W Dual Electronics amplifier 12" Dual Electronics subwoofer 12" RF Punch P2
  14. My equipment is in my sig, but I'm wanting the deadener for general deadening of outside noise more than anything. Also, I want to throw some heat insulation as well, so that my car doesnt freeze (for some reason the cold air gets trapped in my car and get amplified).
  15. Well could you suggest a similarly priced yet better quality product?
  16. Does anyone have experience with eDead 45 sound deadening? http://www.amazon.com/Elemental-Designs-eDead-Sound-Deadening/dp/B0007OZ8YC/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_2 I'm on a VERY tight budget and the $10 for 10x10 seems amazing.
  17. Is there any real difference between the different colors of wire? I personally want to go with the black for a better look, but it's labeled as ground wire rather than power/ground.
  18. Any answers for my question?
  19. I'm just glad that when I got the car, it was already wired. 4AWG power with fuse, 4AWG ground, and two pairs of RF 16AWG speaker. Just had to do some cleaning up around the terminal up front and the ground in the back. But you say I can do the three channel set up? If so, that's great. Also, slight question about wiring. I do believe it's parallel, but I want to make sure. Amp->P1->P2 Amp->N2->N1 Problem is, I do believe this would drop me to 1Ohm... and I know my amp cant handle 1Ohm. So my question becomes. How do I power two subs off of the 150w @ 2ohm bridged? Both subs, as far as I know, are each 2ohm (I have box for one and says 2ohm and other was free and from my research, it's 2ohm)
  20. First off, I'll say this. Anything I do involving amps and subs is coming out in March because I have a kid on the way and my lady is making me take them out. I'm hoping to either a)have a second vehicle to transfer it to or b)just have a decent setup that sounds good without them. Now, with that being said, the way I'd like to set it up is have my left speakers (6.5 up front 6x9 in back) on one channel and the rights on another with my subs on a third bridged channel. And I like the way the RF Punch and Power series looks wire wise. And the P500.4 looks like it can get the job done. And if it cont handle the bridged third channel, I'm fine with one per channel.
  21. To be honest, I have a TON of questions, but dont want to turn this thread into a huge Q&A for my stupid @$$...
  22. Well my HU is an almost 2 year old Pionner DEH-10MP. I was hoping to upgrade. My current amp is... well I'll just say its low end but it gets the job done by my standards. I just want to upgrade so it can handle my components. Also, I'm an RF fan, so finding an RF amp that I believe will get the job done is great.
