I have been a "backup" before and when I found out I was one, I didn't act rationally and I did end up whoopin the crap out of her full time boyfriend and it cost me because my dumbass did it in school. Mad props for usin glass, I have and it aint as easy as some people think, and I used white medical gloves and the resin eat through them, so good shot on the nitrile gloves too, keep creatin and learnin new stuff. I am doin the same thing, trial by fire is the only way to get great at anything.

I am not 100% sure but I think that amp puts out about 1100 watts rms at 1 ohm, if it is the one I am thinking of, and yes it would fry the tiny voice coils on the 5500 series, you should ebay the 7500 series if you want to stick with mtx, you should be able to run those with the amps settings all the way down and still have a lot of headroom, that would make them not distort a bit at high volumes with a good amp like that. Thats my opinion tho so whatever works best for you.

thanks, hopin to finish it either this weekend or next and get it off my mind lol. I have only really worked on it like 4 days a lil bit at a time, I need to kick myself in the azz and finish it. Its goin black to match the car with blue pearl, will try to get some good finished pics with subs installed, I hate that is for a pair of basic kicker comps but I am blacking out the yellow to give it that lil extra.

I got a lil further on the box, ain't been pushing the build too hard because he isn't in a hurry and why rush it when you don't have to. You only mess up that way, thats what my experiences have taught me.

Never heard of audiopulse personaly, if you got a link post it please. If I was gonna grab some 8's to pound on I would try them soundslpinter rl-i 8's, check out the vids on realm of excursion, they are sick for 8's. Just my opinion though and they are about 165 apiece.

Yes, sort of, I am goint to make the port and sub in the middle instead of the way I drew it up firts, but goin to cut a section out of the rear deck and redo my calculations to have the port outside in the back of it so that it will fit in the notch that I am gonna cut. I want to try something a lil different and test my abilities a lil more than doin a traditional style ported box. If it would be louder and sound better regular though I would like a lil more input, or maybe even a different idea. I think I have a buyer for my current setup so I will start the box build soon, so please give me some input please.

Yeah you should check into a dash kit for it, my friend has got one for his, but it would be badazz if you made your own and did a lil glassin. You should consult GP2K2, Master Coogle, or even Steve himself for a lil advice, they all rock with glassing and could make it a lot easier on you and make for a damn good install that you can be proud of. I have gotto get a train horn in the stang, SC drivers are crazy and I need to let them know whats up when I get cut off. after I get my new box goin I am gonna have a lil room in the trunk for the compressor so now all I have to do is find some badazz horns and stuff them into my front fenders so as not to give them away when I pop the hood.

I am going to do the port in the back of the box so that it aims at the rear glass slightly, sort of a crx style box turned on end, will definately post pics of it when I start the box. Thanks for all the comments and help though everyone.

Holy hell, I was kinda think cat might have crawled in there and got caught in the sub somehow (happened to my bosses cat and his crown vics serpentine belt), but was never expected a dude to pop out like that. I feel bad for his parents, they are gonna have to buy him a hearing aid for christmas because he is an idiot. Anyone see those vids on ROE of ppl inside the box, at least they had a port big enough to crawl through. Sayar and some dude with hifonics subs I do believe.

X2 on the subzero, the kicker emblem is a reflection, looks like a pic from that big sema-like electronic event (forgot the name). Thats definately not a kicker though, the solo-x magnet structure may not even be that big lol.

A friend of mine had a jugg in a 02 accord 2door, it was loud as hell, with only a 1400watt rms mmats amp. It was a lil underated tho, and he ended up burning up the voice coil because of daily listening (its made to burp). I haven't heard a btl in real life but I still think it would hand that jugg an azz whoopin, just compare t/s parameters and the options available. Thats my opinion tho so take it or leave it.

This box is going in the cabin, I think that porting it like it is drawn would be easier and would it really make a gain if ported through the rear deck if in the cabin?

the plans for my new box in the stang, 18 FI Q, tuned to 33hz, 8.1 cubes, and yes it will fit where the back seat used to be, and I plan on sealing the car off from the trunk first, it ought to be pretty loud and clear (blocks away).

Thanks guys, the subs touch, each is sealed seperate, the back is notched for the trunk spring and notice the 45s on the corners so that I can close the trunk. But the next thing goin in is gonna be where the back seat used to be and its gonna be somethin everyone on this site will enjoy, I will post all build pics , but it might take a while. Thanks again though.
