  1. Thanks man, Me to I love them I have hit 143.xx with these with an amp only pushing out 1000 rms, in a pre fab box, they are some great subs and I would suggest them to others.
  2. Basically the 18" is out of the question because you won't have nearly enough room. go with the 15" BTL and build a nice, loud box. It should sound really good.
  3. What are these going to be going into? Would you have enough room for the 4 12" L7s? Or is it about the same amout of space as need for your 15s? Also what amp(s) did you have in mind for the 4 12s?
  4. A Lvl 5 18 will run you around $550-600
  5. Yah I wanted something that filled up the back while still being able to see out my back window(kind of) and not doing a wall so I came up with this design haha.
  6. Yah I suppose so wish I would have had a sliding miter or something a little better but hopefully next time. Oh and as far as a guide goes, I just measured every 6 inches and made a mark and cut a long it, then if it wasn't completely level I just hit it with the belt sander.
  7. No problem, also if your looking for a decently priced amp that is upward of 1000 RMS then check out this amp.. Hifonics BXi 1606D
  8. Thank you haha I was surprised it turned out as good as it did, holes were done with jig saw also of course but that was a little easier.
  9. Well you said you were looking at buying a cap and most places (best buy, circuit city) sell them for around $100 Here is a link to a Kinetik HC600 on eBay, $99 with free shipping, order this before anything. Kinetik HC600
  10. This is the first box I have ever built, I had no help on it at all and it has taken me 6 days, I started on Monday. As far as materials go, I have spent about $110 including the 5 yards of carpet. Doesn't hurt that I actually used 3 sheets of MDF but the guy at Home Depot told me to say I only bought 2. Anyways, the subs that are going in here will be the T5s I already have, and I made the box bigger on purpose for when I decide to upgrade. I used 3/4" MDF and for bracing I used 2 1-1/4" Closet rods vertically and 2 1" rods horizontally. I know that it is definitely not perfect or the greatest box so any criticism is welcome, also maybe some tips for the next box I end up building. For tolls I had no router, all I had was the first ever drill known to man basically, corded, no reverse, horrible, a jigsaw, and a belt sander. Also on clamp, but I got by. As far as size goes it is 40" High x 36" Deep x 28" Tall. All Mocked up Finished port, 1" closet rods Beginning the top Test fit of the T5s Yah it's a little bigger then my 38"x18"x18" pre-fab haha And finally, an 18 year olds clamps Should be done soon, going to get it metered and see what the change is. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
  11. Yah when I say loud I mean like SPL loud, I want this box to make this sub get as loud as it can.
  12. My friend just got a box and sub off of here but the box doesn't fit. So he would like to build one now and he just needs to know the right specs. It can be up to 40" wide, 16" tall and 20" deep. Any help would be greatly appreciated, also, we want this box to be able to get loud.
  13. Well I bought some today from Rusty, $6 a yard for nice carpet with a backing.
  14. Alright thank you. I'll think I will just go down to sound solutionz and ask rusty for some haha its a big box though so we will see.
  15. Not sure if this is the right section or not but I am going to be finishing my box either tomorrow or Thursday so I am going to need some carpet. I was wondering where to buy it, price, etc. Thanks.
  16. I just wanted to comment about the money part, there is no reason what so ever you should give a girl money. It isn't theirs. Tell them to get a job.
  17. If a (Mistubishi claimed)3.8 second 0-60 is rice then sign me up. Even though the fastest third party test was 4.4 seconds, I'd still gladly take an Evo 9.
  18. Yah I don't know how that works out I guess they ar ejust really popular but now that I think about it I will probably just go with DC just because I support Rusty and Sound Solutionz.
  19. Well thank you all for the suggestions, and Sound Solutions texted Kinetic, xstatic, and Stinger and Kinetic did the worst, I know everyone is a fan but I'll pass, but I am thinking about going with Stinger, anyone have any recommendations as to which battery to choose?
  20. I am looking to add a battery to the back of my Explorer and I was wondering which would be my best bet? I am going to be running around 2000 rms on one amp and thats it so I was looking for something like the Stinger SP1000 or Sp800. Just wondering what you guys think I should go with.
  21. Oh alright thank you, is it expensive because it looks like a really big bolt and I would need two that are around 40" long, any idea on price? Oh and any help on that port size anyone?
  22. A Level 4 Dc 12 goes for around $225 depending on who you know But they just ended a sale where I believe they were around that price
