  1. I see it all the time. Shrug it off. Some guys are just haters. Most of the ones hatin don't even have a system.
  2. Sounds like you got it from dB-r. In that case you'll need to contact dB-r about any issues.
  3. It's Saturday. You won't get an answer on the phone. When an amp is stuck in protect the first thing you do is disconnect the rcas, remote knob, and speaker wires from the amp. Then check your input voltage at the amp. I would also try swapping the amp into another vehicle but I understand that's not always an option. If everything looks good and it's still stuck in protect then send an email.
  4. 6. Did some more work yesterday. We hooked up 6 saz-1500s temporarily for testing purposes. Interesting result 159.2db @ 34hz. Just goes to show that the 160 off the saz-3500s was no where near full tilt volume yet. Thinking of testing out 6 saz-2000s to see how they perform in here as well. Multiple vids uploading now. Here's a vid playing Air Forces screwed. The Term Lab is in real time so what you see is exactly what it's hitting at that moment. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> He starts off low and then gets into the volume. You'll notice that after he gets into it the #s stay between 156.4 and 158.1. Not bad off only the saz-1500s.

  8. I recommend 4 batts to be safe but you will be alright with 3. Make sure to get the biggest batt you can fit under the hood too.
  9. There are several of us doing 150+ on music with four of these in daily setups. Not bad for the entry level Sundown Audio subs.
  10. Here's a couple vids of Team Outcast - Ms Cookie doing some Bass Boxing in the Crx with four Sundown Audio sa-12s. Those subs were beating hard. 1st round totally sealed name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">2nd round driver's door open name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">For those that don't know Bass Boxing consists of three rounds playing music for 30 seconds each time. 1st round sealed, 2nd round driver's door open, 3rd round both front door's open. Then average the three scores.
  11. Another vid from this past weekend. Doing some Bass Boxing in the 3rd round with both front doors open. Still was easily able to maintain over a 150 on the dash. Anyone who has ever done Bass Boxing knows that your #s tank badly when opening up that passenger door in the 3rd round. This thing is holding #s great. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  12. That score already puts him straight into the top 8 in Meca drive-by. We're expecting to easily see over a 131 by just figuring out the little tricks like truck positioning, windows up/down, and song choice. After swapping in four saz-4500s we're expecting to be well over a 132.
  13. A couple more vids doing some Drive-By testing today. This is new stuff to us so we're testing & trying out every little thing as well as various types of music. For those that don't know in Drive-By the mic is placed 6ft away outside the vehicle and 54" off the ground. I wanted to play it safe so we placed the mic 7ft away from the passenger mirror. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  14. Running 8 amps was a one time thing for this event only. We'll be rebuilding the amp rack to hold 4 amps behind the rear seat. Short term goal is a 154 sealed, qualify 153 Bass Boxing, and 135s drive-by. There's still some more work I'm gonna do to the box. Mostly pretty stuff. Not looking to see an spl gain from it. We'll be totally gutting the truck soon to do a full install of some Second Skin Damplifier Pro. It currently has zero aftermarket sound deadening. I am looking to see a decent gain in spl from that.
  15. Last setup with the four btl 18s was hitting right at a 152 off four amps. This one is hitting a 153 off the same power. Also this setup sounds waayyyy better on music. We're expecting the score to go up a little after they get broken in good. My score jumped almost 1db when the four sa-12s in my Explorer got broken in.
  16. The back windows are all Gorilla taped to keep them from launching. One is currently broken lose at the top. If not for the tape holding them in they would have already blown out. Watch the top of the window in this vid. This is what they do without tape holding them in. Also that setup was about 3db quieter.
