  1. Brandon goes by qcguy on here.
  2. Brandon is as legit as it gets. He'll get you hooked up.
  3. With the sae-1200s you would have one amp on each coil at 2ohms and wouldn't be seeing full power. You'd be better off with the saz-2000.
  4. I'll have to do more testing and get back to you. This setup is tuned too high for sound quality. Because of my sub par electrical I never got into them hard with the two amps @ 0.5ohm. They take one saz-3500d at 1ohm like it's nothing. I have no doubt that they'll handle the pair @ 0.5 thermally as these subs have an insanely good cooling design. I would not consider these spl subs at all. More like a daily sub that gets loud.
  5. I've played it at 0.25 a little on music but not full tilt cause efficiency goes to shit and my current electrical can't keep up. I'm seriously considering swapping to four saz-2000s (one on each coil at 1ohm) just to keep current draw at a minimum. It sucks to be allowed unlimited amplifiers but only one extra battery in FeatherWeight.
  6. Wait til I get my 300a alternator back in and add more batteries. I think 152+ is very possible. Right now there is only one extra battery in the back (damn featherweight BassBoxing rules). Voltage drops to 12flat.
  7. Did some testing today. End result was a 151.5. Still with just one saz-3500d. I'm happy.
  8. Got my new box built today. It works MUCH better. Because I had to move the amps to the back of the truck my rcas weren't long enough. Using some y-splitters as a ghetto extension I was able to get one amp going. With only one saz-3500d @ 1ohm on both subs it hit a 149.1 on the TL. Did the same exact # playing some music too.
  9. Jacob has tested his single Z v.2 15" with 10,000watt burps. No issues. If you need it to handle that kind of power let him know so he can build it accordingly.
  10. Only one quick vid for now. Can't get volume to full tilt yet (waiting on a new alternator to come in) but I can tell you that these things are moooovvvviiiing. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">More vids tomorrow when I get more time.
  11. Not enough time to build my new box this morning so I through them in another I had laying around the shop. They are being powered by a pair of saz-3500s @ 0.5ohm each. Vids coming.
  12. If you're only concerned about sounding good then the lvl4s sound a LOT better than a btl. The btls will handle a shit ton more power and have the potential to get louder than a lvl4. These are two subs that shouldn't even be compared.
  13. You'll have less current draw getting 2000w from a saz-2000d @ 1ohm than you will getting 2000w from a saz-1500d @ 0.5ohm.
  14. Nobody should worry about impedance rise in a daily scenario cause it is not constant. Reactive impedance varies with frequency. If you must run the amp @ 0.5ohm your electrical will support the amp just fine regardless of impedance rise.
  15. The decision is up to you but I can tell you that amp will run just fine @ 0.5ohm with that electrical.
  16. I agree the Sundown Audio line of apparel could use an overall. Mainly just to get some more updated options. Here's a little sample peak at a little of what I'm working on.
