    Both DC Power and Irragi are great companies for alts also... I would go with a nice 270sp Which is probably 2-3x more charging at idle than your stock alt and gives you close to 300amp at 1800 rpm

    Wel you can never have enough electrical. On that budget i would just get a nice alt... You can worry about batts later....Start with the Charging system, Then when you have cash work your way down to the reserve system. SO in this order Alt Big3 VCM/MLA Batts

    I have 4 runs of 1/0 to the rear.... 2(+) 2(-) just because.... And then the sub amp is probably 6 inches from the rear (-) of the batt bank. I dont have ANY noise whatsoever. I say if you keep the (-) and (+) short GOING INTO the amp you should be fine....... But thats just MY opinion
