  1. Haha yeah I am. Maybe I'm just on the bandwagon, but I think their equipment is good. I wouldn't pay retail price for it though. That's why there's ebay!
  2. Your drums have been treated differently and had some other things done to the wood. I play in a band lol and buy a lot of equipment. But maple would be nice if they had a decently priced veneer. I will have to check it out! Haha no, it's my idea and I claim it! But yeah go for it, maybe I'm on to something. Edit: 500th post! 135db! Woot!
  3. Btw I looked at that box earlier, it's so pretty! That box and one of my drumsets gave me an idea. How about a solid Maple box stained charcoal grey? Not sure about resonance qualities, but my 7 ply Maple drum kit sure sounds nice!
  4. Yeah but your a Fosgate guy so its all good in my book. Why would you think that?
  5. Never thought about saving weight with a less dense wood. If at some point I do a rebuild, I think I will try Birch or Oak to try to save some gas/acceleration.
  6. This is awesome, someday maybe I could do the same!
  7. I feel like an unsupportive member for not buying one yet, but money is a little tight and I'd rather keep my build going right now. All in time though! I will eventually buy one.
  8. I am very doubtful of any 12" sub that takes 18k RMS like it's no big deal. Sounds like some good bullshitting there, but as far as speakers go, I recommend some Rockford Fosgate T1 2 way 6x9's. If you can are willing to get 6.5" drivers, I would recommend the T1 or T2 component systems over the 6x9's for sure.
  9. I actually misread this thinking that you said something about 175.4 db in 2 ohms and it didn't make any sense so I just posted a lie instead. Edit: But I think it says on their website that it does like 250w x 4 at 2 ohms. I don't think they would say that unless it was stable for lawsuit purposes.
  10. Well, luckily with the textured walls, it hides defects really well. I've had to touch up the walls already from carelessness and a little white paint from doing the trim and you can't even see the spots!
  11. I believe I did 3 thinner coats. Not too bad!
  12. Oh God this shit got me rollin' Lol yeah she's sassy. XD Here's a few more pictures.
  13. Thanks guys! I can take a few more pictures when I get the furniture back in. There's actually this really nice marble top table my mom wants at Rooms 2 Go, but she hasn't got it yet. This was my first experience with this and I dove head first into it...glad it worked out! PS: Mom says post pictures of yourself, and she well let me know if she's interested.
  14. I've been busy the last few days wrapping up the last steps of this project. I redid the dining room for my mom. These are just various pictures I found of the project over the last year. I have limited time to work on it since I don't live here. Check it out!
  15. Is there anyone in the Dallas area that could use a little help with anything in the next week? I just want between $7.25 and $10, depending on the physical/mental demand of the job. Just trying to offset some money loss since I took two weeks off work to visit Mom. Thanks
  16. I'm in Texas occasionally visiting my mom, like now. But I'm not really sure of any events. One thing I can say is Craigslist seems like a goldmine compared to what I find in Virginia when scouting for equipment. Welcome!
  17. My bumper will hit speed bumps so thats possible I wish mine could...can't ever seem to have enough money to drop it.
  18. Woah, well I'm glad I didn't take the UTI route, sounds like I was being fooled haha.
  19. Haha my battery light and emergency brake light like to flash on and off with each other. Problem in my electrical I'm guessing. SM is nothing special, wait till you see what DBs I'm cranking in my ride. I wouldn't even bother reconing these lol. If they blow it'll be a perfect excuse for some DC Level 3's!
  20. So if my box were to burst and it impaled my shoulder, causing my arm to spasm and jerk the wheel to the left into oncoming traffic and making my airbags deploy, I could then say my bass set my airbags off. It's settled then. High SPLs can set your airbags off. Thanks! lol wow u have a creative mind but in that case ur bass cause u to crash which caused ur airbags to deploy so no technically they didnt set them off Haha fine! Yeah, especially with P2's lol. You are correct but they can deploy at a minimum of a 7 mph crash. To put it in perspective your subs would have to hit you with the force of about 30 g's to deploy your airbag. That would be 30 times your body weight. If you bass if hitting you that hard you not going to need to worry about them airbags. Yeah, that sounds painful. I think my car actually fall apart like the 170db Orion bass machine!

  22. If it does...it's gonna hurt. And I hope you get it on camera for us.
