But its not even worth it for a cheaper woofer like that. The decent parts to recone it will cost what the sub is worth alone usually

Im just building a speaker box for a friend for 2 18s.. This is just plan ol mdf Im using, but the side of it is sharp from the 45degree angle I cut! Thats a lot of wood in that factory!! Reminds me of my job when we win a bid to install dust collection systems, and have to go in and hand pipe in the rafters.

its just a paper cut, tho it was deep enough to bleed unlike a cut from paper... but from mdf???

Ive never had an issue with my old mayhems in a 18cubed (14ish cubed after displacement) nonwalled box tuned to 27hz doing high 153s legal on music daily with 2 saz-4500s @ .5 each. But then again, if your spiders are hitting the top plate you got more issues... maybe the basket I could see, but for your spiders to go thru the basket and hit the top plate... major issues... nub moment?

Not all subs bottom out. I know the Nightshade v2s, mayhems, btls, and bl's you will have one hell of a hard time bottoming out with a rather large box, tuned stupid low, and over 8000+ watts.

I was trying to get my posts counts up yo!!! but for reals, if your pro you would know what kind of glue it is (hence why you can partially see the labels)

this is the glue I use, cant say what it is tho, and its bought in bulk. but some of the better stuff ive worked with.

2 minutes? LOL Umm now, it may bond in 2 minutes (where the activator was applied), but where ever the activator did not get sprayed will not usually cure for 24hours. If you use too much activator however, the glue will get hot and crack (like fiberglass resin with too much hardner) or the glue joints will turn white. depending on your ability to recone a woofer, you should be able to remove clamps with in 30-45minutes of spraying activator. BUT STILL DONT USE THE WOOFER FOR A GOOD 24HOURS TO BE SAFE!

Does it come with activator, without the activator it is pretty much just super glue! Tho I dont like how they dont disclose the type of glue you are using, all glue is not created equal and some is better then others. All you know with the glue from FMS is it was bought in bulk and repackaged for smaller sales.
