  1. the 4 gauge doesnt help any. and you would actually need 2/0 welding cable to roughly equal 1/0 car audio wire. turn all bass boosts off or all the way down on both radio and amp. if there is a sub volume option on the radio, turn it all the way up. and if using the remote knob, turn it all the way up as well. you will probably not get the full 2250 from the amp with the wire you are currently using but you should possibly have enough to move the subs some. just set it to the maximum non clipping setting until you get better wire.
  2. how much power are you going to be giving to it? and more port.
  3. i have found the dcs like a good amount of port area. so at least 15 but would try for more
  4. which head unit do you have? may try to turn the volume down some and try again. and are you using 1/0 wire?
  5. it should be plenty for the subs. how did you set the voltage on the amp? test tone without speakers attached?
  6. if its 1 sub and is dual 4 like you say, then its wired to 2 ohms. which will give you about 1100 watts at most do you have 2 cvxs that you are trying to hook up together? or is it just one?
  7. Nah gotta work Saturday so I can pay bills and support the habit and Sunday I'm gonna work on my new box. Maybe ill have it ready for next time.
  8. you sure squeezed that in there didnt you. looks good and cant wait to hear it
  9. IIRC I set the ssf at either about 25 or 28. Maybe lower. I will check for ya and maybe send ya a vid
  10. What did you tune the box to? Thanks for the input, I was actually checking that one out. I believe I tuned it to 33 hz.
  11. I would look at the sundown e-15. I just put one in a friends keep in 3 cubes after displacement with about 47 square inches of port on 500 watts and I was very impressed. Sounded great and can definitely hit the lows.
  12. What about with my 4 channel. About another 200 watts. And I may upgrade to a 400 or so
  13. No extra batt. Just a stinger spp1500d under the hood. Could I get away without another or could i possibly put another one under the hood and wire it in parallel with the other and run everything off of the main one? I really don't have any extra room in the back by the amps. And if I need another, what size should I get.
  14. Yeah. Can definitely tell a difference. Before about 800 watts would dim the lights, but now its staying strong at about 14.2 volts. Oh and when I'm ready to take the full 2000+ watts from my amp, would I need to run another power wire to the amp or would an extra charge line on the battery cover it?
  15. Finally installed my new alt!!!

  16. its getting closer and closer to the time my subs will be arriving
